Good reporting Sun. You screwed up her first and last name
I warm up my truck on high idle in the wintertime while I lavishly enjoy a hot cup of coffee inside, and I leave my truck running if I'm in and out of a store, especially when I have to go buy cat food.Originally posted by speedog
Why people leave a vehicle, running or not, with keys in it is beyond me. I guess the next comparable thing is leaving vehicle keys just inside of the front or rear door of one's home - something that probably most of us do and then leave that door unlocked while you're elsewhere in your home or outside chatting with the neighbors, easy enough for a brazen thief to come in and swipe a few keys. Sounds like these four were opportunists for the most part and it appears there's many, many vehicle owners out there that were more than happy to oblige them.

I wonder where they were storing 74 stolen cars without anyone noticing.

I'm 99% sure that's how ALL remote starters work.Originally posted by rage2
The [remote starter] we had, even if someone broke into the car, the car shuts off as soon as you press on the brakes if there's no key detected, which is required to put the car into drive.
