We've got one plant growing in the planter at the house. It's not going so well. Our little Thai chilis and jalapeņos went great, but the ghost pepper plant just didn't really thrive. It's just flowering now but I doubt we'll get any peppers before the end of the season. Ours is in full sun in a planter where all the other plants have done well. Not sure what the deal is.

When you read about growing them, there are so many different suggestions and practices. Ive moved my into full sun today, and into a mini green house. Im hoping the sun then the moisture should replicate its natural growing environment. I wouldnt have to grow them if i could just find some fresh ones to buy.

Full sun feet wet and not potting mix is working thus far - I'm having better luck with some sh*t quality garden soil (lots of clay) with a huge bag of vermiculite mixed in...

This time I'm using jobe plant spikes for more consistency on the ferts, they're doing OK... Read that a greenhouse scenario is likely needed for humidity and to get hot hot...

I just picked up a small one. Its a tad bigger than the plant. Was only $50. Seems to be working.

No they dont and never had. I stopped in on saturday and spoke with the manager. He wont bring them in due to the very short shelf life, and the simple fact that his staff cant touch them unless they use gloves. The hottest they carry is the Habanero and occasionally they have Scotch Bonnets.

But thanks for the lead though. Great store.

Looks like another location earlier in the thread has them too, so it may be a chain wide thing. I'd call your local Superstore and go from there.
