Grey Eagle cancelled it. Not the Mustang club.

Unlikely Deerfoot is going to be a venue. That car show was at Home Depot Chinook, then moved to Deefoot Mall, then to the Grey Eagle. I doubt they would go back to Deerfoot. The mall has since expanded into the parking lot.

Furthermore, I fired off an email to Speeders to which they replied with:

Hello Joseph,

Thank you for writing in and asking about you some space. As long as the parking lot doesn't fill up to where our customers can't park we have no issue holding meets there. We think it's great for club members to show their ride to each other and follow up with a race on the track, without the risk of a speeding ticket from the police.

Spoke with Grey Eagle and they said Wild Wednesday's should be back next year, was cancelled this year because of ring road construction as well as they will be having a number of concerts on Wednesday evenings.

Nice work, Speeders seems like a decent option. Would the adjacent businesses need to be on board as well? Just looking at Google Maps I see about 70 marked spaces plus room for a line of cars along Aero Drive, but I'm not sure how much of that is allocated for Speeders.

Speeders is right down the street from a CPS office isn't it? Everyone is going to be doing the neutral drive by.

There was a CPS office at Chinook as well. The CPS office is across the intersection from Deerfoot mall. If you come down Aero dr from the Airport side, you'd never pass it.

Don't think theres much else adjacent to them. Probably all warehouse space... The small lot directly in front of them is usually pretty full.. most cars Ive seen that park a little further are all Speeders traffic anyways.

I think having an police station close by would be a benefit. It would at least do some good to deter the dumb retards from doing stupid shit. Its what causes everyone to lose venues... :

The CPS station is North Service Center-pretty sure it's traffic cop central. A lot more than the Chinook location.

Yup cop shop right on 11th heading up on the way to speeders, got busted for tint driving by one day.

Love to hear that speeders is cool with us having a meet there!!! Such a great idea!!! Car meet then race!!! I'm in.

There's a subaru facebook group that already meets there every Wednesday. I haven't attended myself.

I'm all for meeting at speeders but back to Grey Eagle.

Meets will still be allowed on their property, all they ask is that we respect the parking for their guests and if a large event/concert is taking place that we re-schedule our meet.
They will not be providing food, music or roping off the area this year is all.

I am working up aero drive from speeders right now and I've had two of my apprentices get nailed with double tickets for speeding and window tint lol. Plus it seems like a lot of the photo radar and traffic related cops tend to come from that station.
