    Default Dryer repair recommendations?

Anyone wanna recommend a dryer repair guy? Having trouble picking from all the kijiji ads written in broken English....would prefer to call a reputable shop in Calgary and not some Joe Blow off kijiji.

Samsung dryer, almost 2 years old, turns on and everything, but I press start and hear nothing, just a slight click.....any ideas?

If it's a thermal switch or something, any place open on Sundays to buy one? Also, I'm reading thermal switch failure could faulty thermostat? Damn, Samsung you have disappointed me.....

    Call Samsung first.

I had issues with my LG washer and I bought the parts and replaced them myself. In the package, it said, "Thank you for your business and we apologize for this defective part." Turns out, had I called them, they would have sent someone to fix it for free. fuckers.

Anyway, you issue might be covered even outside of warranty. Just my 2 cents.

I have the exact issue as the OP, but with a maytag dryer. OP who did you end up using or did you call Samsung?

Wanted to give my positive feedback on Rick @ Stampede Appliances.

I had a Whirlpool dryer unit that needed repair (probably heating element died). Gave Rick the model number and scheduled an appointment for 2 days later.

Rick showed up and had the dryer repaired within an hour. He even reworked my dryer vent a little bit since the previous install was crappy.

Charge was ~$70 for the visit & 1st hour labor + cost of the heating element replacement (totaled about $350).

    Bump again...

Any recent experiences for Appliance repair.

My Dryer is starting to make grinding noises.

Would rather not have to shell out for a new one right before Christmas...

    Thanks.

Google your Model Number along with grinding. Youd be surpised how how often there is a video of your issue on your exact model and someone showing how to fix it. Did it with my Washer, My old Samsung Plasma TV, and my dishwasher. I fixed all three items in less than 2 hours including the drive to the store, and under 7 bucks for a 2200u resister and a 36" length of clear hose. Would have set me back HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS had I called someone for something so easy.
