Video Game Experts, need help with picking a PS4 Multiplayer game for my 10 year old

My son is having his 10th birthday party this weekend. He has elected to have a sleepover with 6 of his best friends. I want to get a 4 player multiplayer game for them to play. In an ideal world I would love to get a straightforward shooter like good'ole Goldeneye from the N64 days. 4 split screens and you end up running around finding each other and killing each other. Please give me suggestions as I have been out of the video game world a long time. Also, I don't mind some violence (shooting each other) but unfortunately can't have sexual themes and swearing.

Halo 3 all day. Good shooter that is easy to pick up but not heavy on brutality or gore.

Borderlands Handsome collection has 4 player split screen. Has some cartoon blood and head explosions though.

Minecraft is tons of fun. I believe it has 4 player split screen too.

There's not a lot of 4p multiplayer games out there. I think yellowsnow covered every single one there.

If they like sports, fifa and nhl (game is not the best compared to old versions) have 4 player multiplayer.

Borderlands is pretty, uh, I don't know the phrase. They structure the mature jokes in the same way Disney movies do, where all the adults laugh and the kids don't get it.

But I'm not a parent, maybe I'm not giving kids enough credit.

Have NHL hockey so it isn't bad. Checked out Borderlands, looks pretty awesome, but I am a little worried that they may swear or something. If I do get it, its purely for the multiplayer so my son likely wont be allowed to actually go through the game play.

I wish there was just a simple 4 player shooter like Goldeneye. I wasted hundreds of hours on that during Uni. It was simple yet super fun. Games can be overly complicated.

For a 10 year old, I'd look into the game Rayman Legends. Has that old school 2D puzzle platformer feel to it, it would be fairly easy to pick up and play and cheap since it released a long time ago. And It also has a 4 player coop couch mode as well.

the 4 player multiplayer is going through the gameplay. You just go through the story missions with 4 players. I'm pretty sure there is a censor gore/swearing in the settings menu

You should consider investing in a Wii U and buying Mario Kart and Super Smash bros. No better "fun" games out there that you can just pick up and play. Obviously a much more expensive route, but this will provide tons of fun for your kids and their friends for a long time!
