Umm considering which thread we are posting in people need to go back a couple pages and look at the fenders on the C300 coupe and C63s coupe. Way bigger difference on the benz this gen the 435 to M4 difference.

The C63s is to the C300 what the M4 is to the 428 more than ever this gen.

So it’s been what? 2 years?

C63S Coupe getting a facelift tomorrow based on video just released by AMG on FB.

Looks like new interior including digital dashboard based on the teaser. Probably same bumper as the E63 since the C43 got it. Looks like the E’s steering wheel as well.

Don’t have time to frame by frame the video on my phone but you can see pretty wel the whole car.

No update on the sedan yet despite it being out longer.

Interior of 2019 is released. It's a wider 10" iPad and retro fit LCD dash into current form which I have say looks better than E/S class's end to end screen implementation.

So I would assume C won't be fully renewed until 2021 at this point?

    Sounds about right.

I’m happy to keep my gauges.

Did they list any performance improvements? I haven’t found anything on the new release yet.

Intelligent Drive Package is the fancy new one from the S class. Self driving behaves differently in Sport mode, will brake late, corner faster, and accelerate out of corner faster haha.

Sweet, you ever spec’d those packages rage?

Mine doesn’t have that package (inrich loaded), I am hesitant to pay extra for self driving.

Supposedly my car can perpendicular park itself, never gotten it to work though...

How does the package estimate cornering speed? I just assume it kept it pinned around the corner at the speed limit.

What you are describing would be hilarious for a drive to Vancouver hahaha.

I think your car can probably parallel park and regular park itself.

Yea it can, parallel works pretty well.

Issue is getting the system to recognize a spot to initiate the system. Parallel usually works, but I have never gotten perp to.

Probably problem lies between steering wheel and seat.

I spec’d IDP for the E400 wagon that I’m taking delivery on next month. The E is one version older and doesn’t use GPS mapping data so it doesn’t slow for corners. GPS mapping is how it estimates corner speeds, the S got it first, CLS and C gets it this fall for MY2019. My E53 order won’t have GPS aided self drive either.

I have to look back on the S class self driving videos, but I think it also does left and right turns at intersections too. Mercedes says that it can drive itself in 90% of all driving situations, but it’s still deemed SAE Level 2, meaning driver needs to be ready to take over at all times. No hands off.

Your basic self parking is the same as what I have in my cars, part of one of the basic packages. Same deal as you, I’ve had it parallel park, but never able to get it to perpendicular park.

Is it getting the MBUX system?

Was sad to see the C43 didn't get it with the new refresh for 2019..

No. MBUX is MFA2 cars only at this point. Doubt that it will be introduced in a refresh model as it’s a ground up rebuild.

    2019 release with PR blurp.

It's not the 63 but I think other than engine, leather grade and not having AWD, I doubt it will differ much from C43.

Pics are up on fb for the C63.

Panamerica grill but otherwise no exterior changes. Interior is limited to new steering wheel, new dash, and new iPad.

Cool new yellow piped performance seats and interior accents though.

Very minor refresh overall, no word on if any performance tweeks from the GT-C made it in?

That grill looks so damn good.

Edit - 9 speed transmission is new, and C63 non S gets the e-diff (this was an S exclusive if I’m remembering right).

Yup normal used to have mechanical diff and ediff was S exclusive

Now the S really is just a tune lol

9 speed transmission is cool. Is it MCT?

Still 510 bhp (though 503 used to get thrown around a lot). 0-60 same as before so no performance bump.

I am happy the C63 didn’t get the bumper from the 43. It’s a style that has really grown on on me and sets it apart. Panamerica is a good look for the C coupe I agree. Though I maintain the pin grill was king.

In comparison it is nearly impossible to tell the E43 and E63 apart.

PS sorry for all the fb links they seem to be better at updating social media than their actual websites and. At least this is right from AMG.
