    Default Tobacco Ban

Better stock up on that mint or wintergreen, because as of Sat..........she gone.

On June 1, 2015, the Alberta government will proclaim the remaining aspects of Bill 33 as well as Bill 206, which will:

•Require minimum pack sizes for specific tobacco products – eliminating smaller, more affordable options; and
    •Ban certain flavoured tobacco products.
I wonder if The Northerner will still be able to sell.

I think its bs anyways. Im over 30. If I want a tin of Cope WG, I should be able to damn well buy one haha.

Maybe enforce the min age laws harder.

Then again, maybe its a good reason to give it up, as $30/tin is getting up there hahah

You're just better off doing a run to Montana anyways. You can get a sleeve down there plus gas and still save money.

It would be fairly hard to enforce the minimum age laws much more than what is currently happening.

Stores already ID if they think someone looks under 25 or 30 and the people who are underage are either getting a friend to buy it, paying someone of age to buy or stealing from their parents. At a store level, it's near impossible to stop a straw purchase, let alone decline a sale based on the belief that someone is buying for someone else.

When I worked at the gas station, I could really crack down on it since I really didn't care about complaints since it was a job while I was in school. But there are people who do need that job who will be much more lax just to keep people happy.

Why would a kid want to spend $30 on a tin?

When I was younger, I blew my money on some pretty stupid shit, but $30 for a little tin of chew? Screw that, just get amped on redbulls

Is this affecting the sale of captain blacks? My sweet baby jesus, after a good night of drinking, a gold captain black is the ticket!

I quit last fall after 9 years. Still crave it. I suppose not selling it anymore will make it easy to forget about though.

I don't hate the ban, I am wondering how much impact it will have though.

Banning menthol would fuck over all the grandmas. But hey if you wanna ban all that might as well go all out and ban all tobacco products. While we're at it we should ban all alcohol too because drinking and driving is bad and it kills people.

I dunno about the e-cig part. But the reason menthols weren't banned - lobbyists.

I'd be surprised if the NDP didn't ammend the bill to include a ban on menthols.
