Default UPS Left $1000 item on my doorstep...

Hey guys.. UPS delivered a package to me but left it at my doorstep, Came home and nothing to be found.. Starting to get worried.. I called UPS but they are closed.. Called Amazon and they said sometime it can show that it was delivered but it could be delivered by the next day.. WTF? They told me to call them back tomorrow if the item doesnt show up.. What should I do/expect? Call Visa file a complaint?

Id wait a day before calling visa. I ordered some electronics off Amazon 2 months ago, tracking said it has been shipped and I thought the same thing WTF where is it but it came the next day. Hopefully its just the same bs that happened to me.

Maybe wait a day and see if its actually delivered tomorrow first?

Canadapost usually does this, scans it item delivered ahead of time but nothing delivered. Saves their ass I'm assuming?

UPS left $1500 worth of tires on the front step and peaced out.

    Fuck I hate UPS.

Funny, UPS just left a laptop on my doorstep this morning. I was actually home but I got 1 ring and as I came to answer the door they were already driving away.

Canada post shows as delivered up to a week before I get my packages. Its so flipping irritating.

UPS usually leaves it on my doorstep and then sends me a customs bill a month later.

Most couriors do that , especially canpar ,
UPS policy is up to drivers discretion on whether or not they leave your package on step doesn't matter of size or value , it's pretty stupid

For our vendors, we have to sign. It's the sender that decides whether the item requires a signature or not. We'd have to get a sticker on our door saying it's okay to leave items if we didn't want to chase them down from a missed delivery.

Pain in the ass though, Purolator comes by Strathcona and leaves a tag on the door and I have to go to the location on 17th Ave by Pizza Hut Express. Can't send someone because my name is on the shipping label.

DHL left a huge printer with our neighbor once, without signature, because the neighbor offered.

I hate it when they don't leave the package at my door. There is nothing more irritating that having to go pick up a parcel. May as well go shopping in the store.

Heh, a while ago canada post delivered my parcel to the wrong house number. UPS once claimed they couldn't find my house and made me drive to the airport to pick it up. I'm not in a new community or anything, so I was pretty pissed. Funny thing is, they mailed me a letter to tell me my address was wrong. But they mailed it to the same address as what was on the parcel (which was correct by the way). So I got the letter and told them canada post found my house to deliver the letter that they were sending me to tell me my address was wrong. All I got was a glassy eyed stare when I asked the lady at the depot if she could see the flaw in their logic.

FedEx left my friends window blinds order with a neighbor worth 5k. Friend got home rung FedEx asking where it was, went to neighbor who denied ever receiving anything. That weekend their neighbor installed all the blinds. FedEx had to pay for another blinds order.

This just happened to me yesterday. I came home to my $150 package on my doorstep which was supposed to come today when I'm home all day.

On the flip side, there's so many senders that make my $5 items signature required. WTF.

On the stealing thing: I hide my neighbours' stuff if I know they're not home for a bit. i.e. I collect their newspapers everyday for a weekend so they don't get robbed.
