Not even close, you should get it dyno'd on Tomas dyno and let me know the numbers you put down, I'd be interested to see what a base 06' Coupe puts down so I can compare it to my 05' Coupe, I only manged just shy of 240 hp.

You should know your facts for sure before you call somebody else a liar.

"In 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Accord, Honda created the J30A5, which boosted output to 244 hp (SAE Net 08/04) and 211 lb·ft (SAE Net 08/04) of torque. According to Honda, horsepower gains were achieved with improvements to the airflow of the intake and exhaust system."

    Relevant.

But in all seriousness, I think he means that at this altitude you're not getting close to your stated figure.

I didn't even know what the hell it means to get your car "dyno'd". Tbh, I don't really care to get technical about my car and its capabilities. If it says 244HP on paper, cool that's good enough for me.

Grab some white out and make it 344hp. That would look sick on paper!

This is one for a 2006 Honda Accord 3.0L. It shows the gains for an exhaust system. So realistically yours would be 10-20% less than this because of the elevation in Calgary.
At our elevation a loss of 11.5% is about right.

I thought it was around 17-18%, or 5% per 1,000 ft.

I am sure a few others will chime in, but I think it is safe to say that a 2006 Accord is probably putting down less than 200whp here.
I just use one of the calculators found online: https://www.google.ca/search?q=horse...ion+calculator

The actual loss is going to depend on a lot of factors. Torque curve, max RPM, valve/port size, cylinder size and cam timing all factor into how much peak power you lose due to high DA.

    You'll see a greater loss on small high-revving engines than a giant V8 with a 6k redline.

Factory specs really mean jack squat. What it puts to the pavement on a local dyno is a much better number to reference. Way too many variables. Lots of manufactures pump up the #'s.
