Cheapest tickets to Fort Lauderdale

Booked a cruise for April 2016, and been on a lookout for cheap plane tickets to Fort Lauderdale. Anyone knows the price range I should be aiming for? I am seeing $700-800 per person now. Ever seen deals that bring it down to $6xx? Thanks.

Looking on Google Flights they seem to be in the $590 - $690 range for april next year

I'd wait until 6-8 weeks before your cruise. Typically the cheapest time to buy a ticket.

I flew down to Miami for about 550 return in February of this year. I booked in October 2015 i think.

I think you can get a flight for 450-600. 700 seems high

It's a scary thought though. Having everything booked but the flights and wait till 6-8 weeks prior ... I'm booking for a party of 8, availability becomes quite crucial.

Keep an eye out for WestJet seat sales. Look for either Miami or FLL. One way car rental from Miami is affordable.
