I moved to Vancouver a year ago and took this awesome machine with me. It turns out that the high price of gas, the stop-and-go rush hour traffic, and the lack of snow have made me desire a different daily commuter. Thus, I am selling my Subaru (it's back in Calgary now). I will try and be as detailed as possible in my description of this car and the ownership/service history.
This vehicle was involved in a collision and was written off in October 2012.

The car was rebuilt professionally by Leisure Auto in Red Deer, and was awarded the Rebuilt status on April 8, 2013 by the Alberta Motor Vehicle Department. I purchased the vehicle soon after. I have documentation for the mechanical fitness test and the vehicle chassis alignment report by Lazer Mechanical Inspection Service. Both docs state the car is A-OK. This means the car is perfectly insurable like any normal vehicle. The rebuilder is available to answer any detailed questions about the car.
I have spared no expense with this car. It has been babied since I have owned it. I have kept hard copies of all service records, but have also kept a digital record online.

During it’s spoiled life in Vancouver, it developed a knocking in the engine. When brought to Wolfe Subaru in Vancouver, they diagnosed a crankshaft failure, and prescribed an engine rebuild. Rather than just have them rebuild the engine, I opted for a brand new short block to be installed instead. This means the car essentially has a new motor from Subaru.
The new engine was installed a month ago, and barely has 2000kms on it. It also got a new clutch, and new timing belt and pulley. Just before that it got a new windshield (Cal Alta Autoglass) and also new ultra-high performance all season Michelin Pilot Sport tires (installed by Tunerworks).
During the latest visit to Wolfe Subaru, the service manager gave the car a two thumbs up and asked me to reconsider my decision to sell off the car. “It’s perfect right now -- drives better than new, actually”. The guys at VEX Performance also know the car well, as they done many of the performance modifications for me.

To add more “tech” value to the car, I upgraded the factory audio unit to a Pioneer AVIC-5000NEX. This gives the STi better navigation, bluetooth hands free, iPod/iPhone management, Apple Car Play (firmware update required), and bluetooth audio.
