Even if I were to heed every stitch of advice in this thread I lack money and resources. I have my monthly stuff covered 4 months ahead and that's pretty much all I have, and without any new business there's just no money to gamble with on shit that may or may not work.

I can't even keep helpers, how the fuck am I supposed to hire a salesperson or social media guru....

Well one benefit of it is that if I ever need a junk removal service I'll remember this thread and probably call him just because of the few good testimonials from beyond members in the thread. If those weren't in the thread I would never call him (if I do ever call you please don't hurt me. )

Anyone want to partner up and lowball an offer for this operation? I'd have it triple the revenue within a year. Some people just can't be helped in adapting to the new marketplace in Calgary. We are your marketplace last I looked. This might be one of the rare situations where an "Under New Management" sign could be a positive move.

But on the positive side I have to say many people posted awesome ideas and legitimately wanted to help... Even when he was being crass/rude many still tried to help. Kudos to all those who offered up their ideas.

There has been pretty much zero advice given in this thread that couldn't be had by googling "marketing". I wouldn't pat yourselves on the back too hard. On the plus side this thread gives me a ton of confidence at my job!

Anyone saying "I would triple the business...." blah blah blah, just unless talk from a useless plug. No one who has a single clue about business would say that knowing absolutely zero about the actual business in question, or the industry. If you had that kind of business acumen you wouldn't be that ignorant, so you simply don't.

You can even splurg for a dump truck style bed and not even have to get out of the truck to unload

My uncle used to have a beater with one of those. I doubt he spent more than a grand or 2 on it.

Dealing with the employees is a whole other world.

And, unlike many, Vince sounds like he runs a steady ship, in terms of being legit.
