No way I'm taking that to 200mph even if the suspension is totally slammed to the ground.

That said, 3s 0-60 with 5300lbs SUV is quite impressive.

Wow, that is fast. It will be a great SUV to take to the cabin in BC. Really take advantage of those passing lanes.

LOL this is really starting to get silly. Its like the engineers are sitting around going "Well.. what can we put the hemi into and make it ridiculously fast?"

If by silly you mean awesome and by awesome you mean super-awesome then, yes. Yes it is firebane.

I love this time in the automotive world. Reminds me of the 70,s and the muscle car era. I just wish I could afford all these awesome cars!

Baby boomers sit there and talk all day of the cars of their youth....Hemi cars, GTO's, 442 olds.....etc. They go on about how fast and awesome they were. Today, a V6 Honda Accord could likely wipe the floor with most muscle cars of the past.

Today, as in right now, is in fact THE best time in automotive history for performance cars/suv/trucks.

In 1995 could you imagine the thought of a 200 MPH Jeep off the factory floor?

That's a pretty big hole it has to punch through the air. Even the cars' top speed is only 204mph, with 707hp. I think the cars would slip through the air a lot easier than a Jeep would.

Somebody who is smart at math should figure out how much horsepower it takes to move 5300lbs from 0-60 in 3 seconds.

Ya I find it hard to imagine that hitting 200MPH. The 0-60 in under 3 sec I can see that being possible with 700hp and 650tq AWD. This thing is going to be a beast.

I'm confused...I was thinking 707Hp etc, but the article says 490HP (for a Trackhawk)..So is a trackhawk something separate from the Hellcat?..the wording is weird in the article. Can someone help me make sense of this??

Motor Authority which had the original scope say that SRT will get a bump to 490HP. Cherokee with Hellcat engine may not actually called a Hellcat but a Trackhawk instead.

I'm not sure why you want another brand out there. Cherokee Hellcat is fine with me.

Only in North America would a brick be considered a high performance vehicle.

This entire story is based on the one fact that the name TrackHawk was registered. Everything else is pure speculation and masturbation material for online 'magazines' to generate traffic.
