Buying U.S. Commercial Real Estate

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has experience purchasing U.S Commercial real estate? Am looking at buying property, but just wondering if anyone has gone through the experience and dealing with tax issues, legal structure, etc.

Not too much experience going the other way but I have US clients that buy Canadian property and I'm willing to bet that there are the same problems going the other way. Unless you have dual citizenship, you won't be able to provide a personal guarantee on any of your financing. If you're buying straight cash I guess this won't be an issue. Legal structures are typically the same as here.
