I'm feeling especially unlucky here. 4th time in 2 years. I don't even use it at that many places. Maybe 1 online purchase per month, and the usual gas & restaurants.

It hasn't happened yet and I use it frequently. I hope that doesn't change though!

Once for me. They racked up about 5k at Walmart before my cc company cancelled the card.

1 time debit, 2 times Visa. Gotta say its nice that everyone paying 18%+ protects me from fraud. I don't even worry when I get the call. I just wait for a new card and everything turns up hunky dory.

Yeah, it's nice that it's never an issue with Visa, they just cancel it and send me a new one, but it's just an inconvenience to be without a credit card for 2 weeks, and then have to change my auto-withdraws.

Keep get this nagging feeling it's unblockus, but who knows really.

fucked up my pole vote, but never happened directly.

allthough someone jacked my google account once and tried to buy $6000 in clash of clan gems... they didnt reset the password once in, so i saw the google store receipts.. rookies.

Wifes had hers nailed twice recently, and at totally diffrent locations. Never had a problem getting VISA to sort the problem. Although oddly enough google didnt want to do anything about my wallet problem, until i made a call to Visa and they realized they were not getting $6000.

Then it was sorted with a tortuous afternoon of emails, but VISA had my back.

happened 2 times to me. once way back in the day (2003/2004?) and ATB shut it down before they even used it. Second time happened about 2 years ago, they spend about $7k at a jewelry shop and couple of other places. I'm pretty sure that card was skimmed at DFW airport (if that's even possible at an airport?)

None for me, Mrs. Penguin, 2 or 3 times, likely all from the same place around 130th SE though the bank wouldn't disclose, thought they hinted it was the same merchant multiple times.

probably a dozen times or more in my life. Most of them while travelling. Every time I'm in asia a card gets skimmed. Even if I don't use it.

Once in 6 years. They bought like 4k of train tickets in Europe with it, no idea where or how they got it.

Had money skimmed once but had visas replaced for security reasons maybe 4-5 times in the last 3 years. At one point I had my visas replaced twice in 2 months as precautionary measures. A bit annoying changing over your pre authorized bills.

Maybe once? No crazy purchases showed up in my statements, but I did get a phone call saying that my card was potentially compromised and will be sending a new one. It was immediately deactivated and no longer working. I assume it was related to the Target fiasco. Definitely taught me to keep multiple cards instead of depending completely on one single card.
Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.

My visa was done once. Noticed because there were a couple of in store charges in Texas. They never really cared about travle and I have been to texas a bunch so maybe that is why it was not flagged.

I bought some fuel injection parts from a legit place in Florida, then right after that, a guy in New York starts buying extermination/pesticide products with my card # and has the product delivered to his home address. ..
There use to be a gas station on ogden road, the chick there charged gas and cigs to my credit card number a whole bunch of times...

Back around 6 years ago when a new restaurant opened up, my card was skimmed, within a week they purchased around $50,000 of jewelry in South Africa.

Since then haven't had it happen again... lol
