I loved my Miele. Shame I sold the house 9 months after installing it.
This Samsung seems alright? It opens up at the end of the cycle to dry the dishes?
I just considered all the Samsung appliances in this house dead men walking when I bought it.
Fridge is already dying lol

Samsung appliances are the biggest piles of shit. I'm defrosting my fridge again for the 4th time in 6 months. Do not recommend.
Samsung appliances are garbage indeed, I made this post about our old Samsung fridge and what fixed the ice issue for us
https://forums.beyond.ca/threads/415...99#post5050399
I noticed a correlation with my Samsung ice maker. Didn’t have an issue with it for 6 months. But within a week of my turning on the light on the ice dispenser, boom freezes up.
Wondering if there is just enough current tuning through that circuit to cause some weird melting/humidity issues and it freezes up?
I think I would prefer a fridge with no extra features in the future. Namely no water line. And buy a separate ice maker.

Kitchenaid stove/fridge/dishwasher for 7 years now. Only 1 element on the electric stove went and got repaired on warranty, everything else is still solid.
I never had any problems with Whirpool line of appliance for decades now. And really have not had any reason for me to switch.
When I got the new Kitchenaid fridge a couple of months ago and installed it, among the litany of warning and info sheets pasted all over the fridge was one that said the water line could freeze if the freezer was set too cold. Sure enough it froze after a couple of days. I set the freezer to -17C instead of -18C and everything's been fine since.
Maybe that might help?
Samsung washer/dryer: ~9 years old. Washer has been faultless, tensioner pulley on dryer has gone out twice. Part design was significantly improved the second time, has been fine since.
Samsung stove: ~4yo, no problems to date.
LG dishwasher: ~4yo, no problems to date.
GE fridge: Had it less than a year but so far so good. Seems well-made.
Same here. Samsung washer/dryer have been absolute workhorses for my family but I've had to have the ice maker replaced twice in the fridge. The design is simply faulty and no amount of silicone will fix it as it's going to ice up inside. I just can't believe they stuck with such a faulty design for their french door refrigerators for so long. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The fuckin ice maker works mint in mine, except that its cork screw ice conveyor broke irreparably about a year ago. My neighbour just gave me his because he demoted his Samsung to the garage (no water connection - no ice), so now mine has a second lease on life.
Every shelf in the doors has a giant crack in it, though.
uh oh.... how do you know? I own the same set. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Kitchen-Aid throughout, all going strong after 10 years. Personally I don't like the dishwasher design inside it but a minor complaint really.
For you with a wall-mount range/microwave combo, do you notice your microwave doesn't pop popcorn very well? Ours is a combo microwave with a broiler, not sure what the deal is. Old school microwave downstairs work just fine

Samsung just repaired my induction stove… lasted all of three days before it quit working … guess we have to wait another 6 months to get the part in …
