Conference finals.
Which he will, cause he's been fucking solid.
Leafs, Blue Jackets, and Jets get a shot at #1.
Good luck Jets fans.
Edit: And Leafs get it.
Aww, man that hurt!
We were between them. (jackets and jets)
What kind of player are we expecting, for the Flames picking at 6th?
OMFG YES WELCOME TO THE JETS LAINE
So if we had lost or won another game, we'd be in the top 3 and if we had a worse record than the Canucks or Oilers we wouldn't be that much ahead.Originally posted by ThePlaymaker

There are suggestions out there saying that either the Oilers or the Canucks (or both) could go after defensemen since both teams have a need for one, especially Edmonton. If either go that route, Dubois, Tkachuk or Nylander would be available. If Nylander plays anything like his brother, I'd love to snap him up. Plus he's a local boy, sort of hahaOriginally posted by ThePlaymaker

As a Canucks fan, you can imagine I'm disappointed. It's not that we're not going to get an excellent player - it's just that the player we select isn't likely to be the franchise player we so badly need moving forward.
Never followed a draft so closely....
The winning combination drawn for the #1 draft spot was 6-8-5-13.
6-8-5-14 would have given the pick to the Oilers.
So happy to see the Jets get #2. Before the #1 spot was drawn, I felt like we won.
I was working in my garage with a couple of other Jets fans and two big cheers went up - one when we realized the Jets were picking top three, and one when we knew Edmonton wasn't.Originally posted by Jlude

Edmonton has some good talent if they develop properly - and so do the Jets. Enough to rekindle the old WHA rivalry in a few years if both teams become contenders.
I agree, it's actually starting to looking like a throwback already, McDavid=Gretzky, Laine=Selanne, etc. Lots of comparisons can be made, let's hope this time around the Jets beat the Oilers more often than they did in the 80s.Originally posted by BerserkerCatSplat

The Caps/Pens game has been insane!!
I still think the refs were trying to get the Caps back and force a game 7 just for TV ratings.
Is the 3rd delay of game penalty, it was over the benches which I thought meant it was not a delay of game. I've seen it before where it went over glass by benches and not a delay.
But other 2 delays real penalties.
Wished the Caps PP was more than a 1 trick pony of feed Ovechkin the 1 timer.
Williams' goal was nice. Great feed off boards and pulling from behind the net to put it in.
If the puck goes over the glass behind the bench it is 100% a penalty. That's what happened so it was called. Hell a fan was being attended to (that got hit by the puck) so the evidence was pretty clearOriginally posted by mr2mike

the penalty on Letang was iffy. was it interference? yeah. but they let go so much other stuff that I don't think it should have been called. Orpik would have been sitting for most of the game if the refs were calling all the interference.

Don't think we are going to get our 1st draft pick from Dallas
