Nothing beats the Amazon Fire Stick. Its the cheapest solution that also allows netflix, hulu ect.
What is the easiest way to get an Amazon Fire Stick in Canada?Originally posted by spike98

Ebay.
Get a new one, not one with the Kodi stuff and it'll be cheaper.
Then use App2Fire or something from an android phone to load the software you want.
You'll just have to put Kodi and Netflix on your phone first for it to happen but can delete it after.
Damn, this advice I'm about to give will change your life. Go here:Originally posted by slick2404
Gonna piggyback on this thread, what are some must add sources?
All I have is Genesis and SportsDevil. Anything for NFL/NHL specifically, or maybe live tv?
https://www.tvaddons.ag/config-wizard-kodi/
It automatically installs everything you could want like SALTS and Phoenix.
I picked up 5 when i was down there in July. Ebay works, but the cheapest would be if you are down in the US or know someone that can ship you them.Originally posted by sputnik

It makes it nice that you can even boot the stick right to kodi (or SBMC)
pre-loaded androix boxes go for $100 - $150 on kijiji. i got my pre-loaded M8S from a co-worker, so i got a bit of a discount. these thing sell for like $30 online. how much work is actually required to be able to watch movies and tv shows??

None, you can download Kodi right from the Android store.Originally posted by nj2Type-S

Then its 5 mins to install whatever plug-in you want. People that pay for these boxes are seriously getting ripped off.
Where can you get an M8S for $30?
Is it legal to watch tv shows online using kodi boxes ? or should we have to use VPN service just to be safer ?
how do you use it ?
Does anyone have the Roku products? If so, how do you like it?
I mainly just want to use it for Netflix, Youtube. Getting a hassle to always grab my laptop to connect to TV. Thinking of either the Roku 3 or the Roku Stick.

You know those bored stay at home moms who's entire lives revolve around driving their kids to soccer, various cleaning accessories, and worrying about neighbourhood rapists? The kind of people that watch the View and go "uh huh..." Those unfulfilled people who try to fill the void in their empty lives by writing whiny letters to the editor complaining about shit that no one really cares about?
Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
I have 2 Roku 3 boxes. I use them mainly with the Plex client, but also occasionally with Netflix and Youtube. Absolutely love them.Originally posted by dj_rice

I got the 3 and not the stick so I could use them on Wired Ethernet, though one of them is wireless and seems to be working fine.
The only benefit to a Roku over an Android box is 1080P on netflix.
Otherwise there is nothing for Canadian content and most of it is subscription based.
If you are just doing Netflix/Plex then it's the best 'Out of box' solution, if you can live with 720P Netflix but the flexibility of running other things like emulators etc.
Then get an Android box for sure.
Beelink GT1 is what I recommend right now
Id get a shield, but im a faithful convert.
I think the Roku is perfect for Plex, Youtube, and Netflix.Originally posted by dj_rice

I agree. Rokus work well. Have 2 and buying a 3rd.
To use an amazon fire stick or fire TV for kodi, do I need to use something like unblock-us?
Im assuming for Hulu, HBO, etc I would need a VPN blocker?
how's the GT1 for dts passthrough? i've been reading people have been problems with it because of the S912 chipsOriginally posted by Asian_defender

don't need to use unblock-us to watch video addons on kodi but i think theres a different method to sideload kodi itself as opposed to dling it off google playOriginally posted by nagooro
