I'm just happy somebody has a car slower than mine.

My buddy had a 70s 210 a long time ago...1979 I think. We ran it at the track just for fun...I think it was 22-23 seconds for the quarter and it didn't hit 60 mph. It was VERY painful watching it go down the track!Originally posted by Mibz

Does it use the same brake pads as the 240Z?

Different part number, Jimmy had some endless ones kicking around that i was going to compare but didn't get around to
That sucks. I had a pair of front pads if you needed them. I am running endless now as well.Originally posted by ercchry

well, she is on the ground now... rear is basically almost resting on bump stops... need to cut and move stuff for proper travel back there. took ~4hr for the rear and 1.5 for the front

already have to roll the fronts even with a 6j +10, big balloon tires dont help, but that negative camber rca really pushes it out. camber plates are even 6 ticks from full negative too
Looks good. Rolling the fenders is a must, there's not much room for rubber on these cars.
Have you done anything with the TC rods? This much low can put a lot of stress on them.
RCAs... basically moves them almost 2" so shouldn't have any bump steer or anything
I need a ride in this thing!
Well, since it's nice out I thought I'd do a little work... We tried to save the old carb, but even after the rebuild it was still running like shit... So bought a weber 38/38... And it runs pretty good now! We will be porting the intake manifold and rejetting and advancing the ignition one day... But for now I'm just happy that I can actually drive it

Next up will be bodywork and a 5spd swap once we find all the parts
Will you do it in the original 918 orange or close to that?Originally posted by ercchry

Looks good so far especially since it's drivable now, better than whatever that bodywork student did (or didn't do) to it. I've always wanted a 510, drop an SR into it and call it a day after bodywork.
Yeah, original single stage orange with flares and some sort of negative offset vintage wheels... Wantanabes, equips, or speed stars
Well, dropped it some more in the front... Trying to decide if I want to try and do bolt on flares (not so very bolt on in the rear haha) or just roll and pull the existing bodywork... Since it's not painted I could go pretty extreme with it. Think I should buy my wheels first and go from there...
But yeah, turns out the extra thick replacement fender makes things kinda sketchy when the tire hits it! It's like bump steer but worse... I got it pulled out a bit but will probably need a proper roller and stretch my tires a bit for it to be perfect... Running a little rake now and I think it works, the approach and departure angles on this car are so awesome that I don't even have to angle into the driveway haha

Now that I have it this low and have rode around a bit I think I'm going to go with 15s (current wheels are 14s)
Fuel gauge stopped working... Fixed that, ripped apart the unit in the tank and cleaned up the contact points... Then I bought some riken meshies in a 15x7 +17/0 in terrible shape... Got one cleaned up, will work on the others tomorrow, ordered some 155/195 tires too, so hopefully no more rubbing soon!
Those look a lot like rikens I had years ago. They were originally white and I painted them gunmetal. Crazy if they are still kicking around.
