What did you use to clean them up?

Grinder with different discs... Started with a 80 grit flapper and worked up to a felt polishing disc... Then some sort of dupli-colour wheel paint for the centres, and a good scrub with a wire brush inside the barrel and where the tire seats
Ah. I have some dual color wheels where the silver is all gunky, and was hoping there was a product you were using to clean them up, vs a ton of manual labour.

I wish haha... But the lips were super curbed and pitted, hit the second one with just the sponge polish disc and a scotch bright to see if the flapper was overkill... And it wasn't
Mounting tires tomorrow:
how long did that take you
Way too long... Probably like 8hrs? Didn't take them to full mirror finish though, they are just too old and pitted. Would of taken off way too much material to get them perfect so I went with a brushed finish with some light marking, they look old but well taken care of old
Thanks Jordan at UrbanX for getting my smart car tires to seat on the first shot!
Tires barely rub now, have to be braking into a sharp turn to get a little rub going... Think they look alright
Love this build, great job so far!
1994 Mustang - SBF swap in progress
Prime for a sweet sr20 swap! Somebody will surely have fun with it. BMW draining all your funds? Haha
It just sits there... every now and then I try and find a 5 speed... fail, then yeah... nothing. Didn’t turn a wrench on it once this year, and drove it 3 times, once for pleasure... and twice for moving shit that didn’t fit in the M

There is this also thing that people do with this internet that you speak of. They go online, connect with locals people, and talk to those who have done it, get an idea of their thought process. It can give a insight of the how their mindset in breaking down such great builds. I love hearing how people explain how they do it.

Are people having a bad day today? This is the second cuntish reply I have had to today when Ive asked a genuine question. The first was about the desserts I was bringing to thanksgiving dinner. Like WTF?
Parts are not hard to source. Just time and money. Especially if you are looking for NOS Nissan or Japanese performance parts. Other than that you can retrofit items from other Nissan cars.
