It's Quebec. He's been blatantly up front that Quebec is and should be the driver of this Country. For that reason alone I'll never vote for him. Even if it's a "partial" truth, he's no friend of Western Canada beyond cashing our cheques.Originally posted by Sugarphreak

I'm still pissed at $250 Million spent on Harper spin doctors last year, and my 68 year old mother will have to walk 2 blocks to get her mail i the winter.
There was a time when delivery services (rail and post office) were the main if not only role of government. Later came roads and highways, electricity, water and sewer.
Harpers legacy may be the start of the destruction of the post office. Sure it lost money - as do basically all government post offices around the world, but its important to provide access to goods. IE: There is no point ordering up a 80 inch HDTV for delivery to Nunavut - if noone can deliver it.
Oil and coal might just be blips on the bumpy oil road probably cheered and blamed on corporate greed, but the destruction of the post office will probably be what remains in the history books.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
Harper, Harper, Harper....

So wait, the government spent money advocating for a resource our country sells?
Fuckers!
That's insane, clearly it's some Harper nazi agenda, since they haven't ever spent money advertising for the film/forestry/mining/agriculture/tech/manufacturing industries.
Ban all men named Harper!

The energy industry is one of Canada's biggest and has been under attack for years. How is this surprising? I'd say Harper wasn't doing his job if he wasn't defending our bread winners...
I'm NOT ok with this. The Government should not be using tax payer dollars to help a private company sell their business model to the public.
BECAUSE OIL IS EVILLLLLLLLLLLL

A whole dollar per Canadian citizen for an industry that makes up what? 16% of our GDP?
The ads weren't even politicized. But yea Harper is the devil.

Is there a comparable for spend on other industries in Canada? Manufacturing, Tourism, etc?

I do get great service there, especially when I mention my name, haha.
So lets promote ruining the environment.
Oh, what a noble cause.
What was the plan? More advertising would somehome balance Albertas budget, when $+115 oil couldn't?
If your gonna make propaganda, why not promote raising royalty rates to modern world standards?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAh Best thread I've seen this week.
I think the real crime is how much Quebec is paid in equalization payments.
