I bet it's on it's way to a port near Vancouver to get shipped off overseas. I remember seeing a report about the stolen exotic car market and how they ship a bunch of these to other countries to sell off.Originally posted by Xtrema

I generally ask 'can I verify you have a valid driver's license' - and take a look at it quickly. I have never had anyone refuse. Easy to memorize the DL# quickly.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
On the flips side of that, what are the odds I am going to chase off a buyer by demanding his drivers licence?

Actually, they really don't.Originally posted by mazdavirgin
but realistically the cops have better things to do with their time rather than trying to catch a petty thief.
Have bought and sold many cars , no one leaves on a test drive without leaving there licence and keys/insurance to the vehicle they came in. They have a problem with that then Im sitting in the car with them once confirming they have a valid drivers license. If they cant provide it then gtfo

Calgary police lay charges in test-drive theft ring
Trucks, SUVs and a Bentley among vehicles stolen
A luxury Bentley was just one of the cars stolen in what Calgary police are calling a test-drive theft ring involving four people accused of stealing $300,000 worth of vehicles from online sellers over three months.
The alleged thieves are now facing more than 60 charges, with most thefts involving pick-up trucks an SUVs, and in one case, a luxury Bentley, worth at least $180,000 new.
Police say the suspects would contact the potential seller to arrange a meeting, and then a test drive, where they would trick the seller into stepping outside the vehicle before speeding away.
In the case of the one luxury vehicle stolen in early September, the owner tried to climb back inside the moving car, and was seriously injured when the vehicle hit a curb and rolled, pinning the victim underneath.
"Police executed two search warrants on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. One was at a residence in the 500 block of Auburn Bay Heights S.E., and the other was in the 3000 block of Rundleson Road N.E. Two individuals were taken into custody," reads the press release.
"At this time, it does not appear there is a connection to any larger organized crime groups or to the drug trade."
Alexandre Alfred Beck-Quenneville, 23, of Calgary, is charged with 10 counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, 10 counts of breaching a court order, nine counts of theft under $5,000, nine counts of operating a motor vehicle without insurance, six counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, one count of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle.
Kirk Leslie Naziel, 28, of Calgary, is charged with six counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count each of conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle, hit and run causing injury, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and possession of a controlled substance.
Christina Louise Ramchack, 26, of Calgary, is charged with three counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and one count of operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Lacey Victoria Cecile Tiedemann, 22, of Calgary, is charged with one count each of possession of stolen property over $5,000, uttering a forged document, altering a vehicle identification number and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
