Performance Sports AKA Bauer is done.

I can remember my somewhat lacking set of bauer hockey equipment.. Never got more than a helmet worth of protection.

This has very little to do with our local recession. It was due to the company going on a shopping spree of acquisitions.

I suppose most of Calgary is/was restaurants. No one goes to the mall to buy durable goods anymore. To me, it isn't overly worthwhile to mention a specific family restaurant closing.

But a sports closure might be more concerning as it doesn't happen every day.

Bauer epitomizes a deep rooted Canadian brand, if not as local as Calgary. They are asking for $575 million money angel to stay in the race.

BTW: It does also include all the Golf Towns, so you might see them closing up around the city if firesale bids fall through.

I had no idea Calgary was what kept Bauer and Golf Town afloat.

Tihank you to our subcontractor team as well, you were critical to what we did.

Nope, right across from Western High. Next to the candy shop.

There a similar concept yogurt store also closed in Market Mall. I think similar joint in Beacon Hill is gone too. I think the whole DIY yogurt fad has passed.

Anyway, competition is fierce on 4th and 17th ave. Even in good time there are restaurants that didn't make it.

Bar C just closed after Christmas last year along with Pita Pit and Mr Sub. The restaurant next to Shell station just changed from Japanese Italian back to just Italian.

I really like DIY yogurt. The fad started in California I believe which is well suited for froyo. I just don't understand how someone could think it's a good idea for Calgary.

Munchies in northland is consistently busy. Not even the Starbucks isn't as busy.

Kids love them but I think parents hate paying $10 for crappy ice cream. I also wonder how Marble Slab hangs on.

You're paying for the show. It's like Benihana for ice cream.

The new coffee shop, Philosophy(?), doesn't look as busy as Analog. Then again, it's twice as big.
