Haier 50E3500 50-in TV

Does anyone know much about Haier the TV brand?

Looking at one of their TVs at Costco.

I noticed Superstore has Haier 40E3500 on sale for $279.00 this week. I was slightly interested and did a quick google search but the reviews weren't very good. Mainly problems with the TV just turning off and not working again after a year or so of use. I'd be buying the Costco 5yr extended warranty forsure If I went with that brand.
