Default Has anyone heard of Artisan International Autobody

Was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with them. I was recommended there by Maranello, which usually works on my cars. They won't due to the age of this car.

Did a google search and only 1 review came up. I think R_audi had work done there too.

The type of work I require is fender cutting/welding. Stripping the paint down to metal and repairing whatever rust comes up. Also re-painting the entire car and mouting the new aero pieces.

I have been to the shop and talked to the owner. He is a great guy to talk to and very passionate about cars. Would like inputs or reviews.

Can't you go to Screamin' Paintworks or do they not do the kind of work you need done? They seem to have a great reputation and I have had work done by them long time ago and they were great. As for Artisan, I have never heard of them so not sure but if Maranello recommended them, I'd assume they are good?

Contemporary Coachworks is another place that gets great reviews. Good luck.

I actually had a chat with them after I met with Artisan. The feel I got was that they were not interested in taking on the car. I understand though lots of work and little pay off. They can paint body parts all day and probably make more money in the end. This car means a lot to me so I am rather picky of which shop I send it to.

I believe Artisan does a lot of world of wheels hot rods / muscle cars. My car is older so a shop who can do metal work would be preferred.

I would prefer maranello but that isn't an option right now. Thanks for your input.

This car just came back from Stampede collision. They do some custom work, give them a call.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll go check it out when I have some time.

I am pretty much set on artisan. I just wanted to see if anyone has any dealings with them.

Just curious if they've given you a ballpark cost based on what you'd like done? Is under 10g a realistic guess?

Did you end up using Artisan? I am considering them for work on an older vehicle and would be curious about your experience with them. Thanks.
