The price goes up and down $1K or $2K. It isn't a $40K markup.
And that prime won’t sell for 40k over. Probably lucky to sell for 10k over and the buyer thinking he got a deal because of the ridiculous ask.

Didn’t teslas cars famous fluctuate like 30 or 40k overnight at one point? I swear that was a thing, couple years back?

    https://www.autoblog.com/amp/2021/03...rice-increase/

Plaids ballooned 10k overnight last March.
That’s a much more expensive car to begin with.

End of the day, people will pay what the market bears. Tesla adjust their prices to match that, dealers put in crazy ADMs to give haggle room because people like to think they’re taking advantage of the dealer.

I’m just agreeing with you, everyone does it.

Tesla literally just hides it in their MSRP. They’ve lowered price when supply outstrips demand (equivalent to dealers charging less than msrp) and increased prices when demand outstrips supply (equivalent to dealer ADM). It’s the same game that people fall for as being better, which are probably the same people that lease cars solely based on payments and not TCO.

I mean people bitch about it but don’t care because it’s easier somehow?
Is that not what Saturn did back in the day?

Not sure how anyone could feel they took advantage of a dealer in this scenario when they know what MSRP is.

Because it’s a rare ass car since it launched. They’re selling used for more than new too.

I always knew the average intelligence of humans is far lower than we think but times like this has absolutely confirmed that. The amount of money people are willing to flush down the toilet in this current market is staggering.

One of my favorite sayings: Think of how dumb the average person is; half of all people are dumber than that.

    People are really really stupid.

My wife and I were out for a walk the other day and some clapped out Dodge Ram drove by, being loud. Wife complained about living too close to the hood. I pointed out to her that the world needs the worker bees to do their thing so that people with capital can stand on the shoulders of labour.

I remember on Howard Stern show they tested the IQ's of his staff. Some of the dumbest people on the show that you would think were just above mentally handicapped like Sal were still in the average bracket. Pretty sad.

My wife and I have nearly this exact same conversation periodically as well. Imagine that.

No one told you to live in the same neighbourhood as them though

I think Buster wants his kids to be close enough to the poor people that they get some perspective, or some shit like that.

I'm going the other route and trying to distance my kids from the unwashed masses.

The only people worse to live near than poor people are the people who can't stand living next to poor people . . . . . . I think.

I wouldn’t worry about it. You will never see those people.

Truth. I also judge them all, which makes me bad too.

People in Aspen never leave their homes except for in a vehicle. Like KR said, you never see them.
