That doesn’t factor in the spread from actual institutions... so it’s actually even worse!
    Yes that’s true, let’s say x1.4 =84

    You're right. My bad.
I'm seeing a buy rate of 1.4077 and that's pretty damn close to $85k. Fuck that.

I would assume we would need to pay some sort of tax at the border no?

The exchange rate is killing the value in Canada.

I think this qualifies for 0.99% financing

Any modern Camaro SS 1LE owners on here? Dealer I talked to will cut $12K off MSRP on a 2019 model, and that's just their first offer. Reallllllll tempted to sell my Z instead of modding it, but the 3800lb curb weight worries me.

    I have a 2019 2SS, didn't want/care about the 1LE package though.

Nice, I'm looking at a 1SS with 1LE. I'd like to be able to run my DD on track, and am looking at a number of mods for the 370 to be able to run laps consistently. The 1LE has everything done to it that I need for the track, can pretty much leave it stock and be happy.

How do you find outward visibility while DDing? I still haven't driven one of these (planning to go this weekend), and have seen a lot of reviewers talk about it, but i'm curious what its like in the real world.

Ahh cool, I bought mine from Northgate which is a sister dealership to Westgate. But yeah if you're looking for track use, if you do some research you'll find the camaro to be suited for the track, especially one with the 1LE package, and the SS models retain warranty even with track use which is pretty awesome.

Visibility is going to be the biggest negative you'll read about, the car is a tank, the rear pillars do block visibility but after driving the car for a bit it's not as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. To be fair my car has the all around lane monitoring so I'd be lying if I said I didn't rely on that for switching lanes easily. Even if I didn't have the side warning system, it wouldn't hold me back from buying the car personally, but I wanted all the creature comforts so I went with the 2SS package. Are you test driving one locally or actually going to Edmonton? If you want to check the car out you can check out mine if you really want, otherwise if you're testing one out locally then you'll find out.

    Paging @94boosted

I drove his car for auto-x (2018 1LE) and some street driving last summer. She's a big girl but you dont feel the weight as much as other cars with similar curb weight. Fairly docile in transitions and power is very linear... you could get fairly aggresive with the throttle with traction all off and the car wouldnt bite you. 1LE is nice since you get get a decent amount (-2.2+) of front camber from the factory.

Front visability takes a while to get used to, but I found that it forced me to keep my eyes up so its a good track training tool. Rear visability is non-existant imho, sides are ok with the way I had my mirrors adjusted. Not sure how tall you are but headroom with a helmet on can get a bit dicey if you are taller than 6'1".

Mine's a 2017, the curb weight is not 3800lbs (see picture below of my actual car on scales with 1/4 tank of fuel and some 19" wheels as opposed to the stock twinkies) and we're actually able to get -3.0° of front camber which is absolutely insane for a mac-strut car with no camber plates.

I'm a bit biased obviously but I think the SS 1LE is the performance bargain of the century, sub-$50K for a car that is easily quicker than the BMW M2C (https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cul...camaro-ss-1le/) and right up there with some truly fast cars (look at MT's Streets of Willow Lap times).

If you're going to be tracking the car the 1LE package is a no brainer, magnetomagical shocks, eLSD, C7 Z06 Brakes, Recaro seats and a bunch of extra cooling capacity this thing will lap all day until you run out of fuel with zero issues. You have to spend a LOT more money if you want to go faster than a 1LE.

The outward visibility is improved over the Gen 5 Camaro's but still not great, the only time it actually bothers me is when driving around in tight parking lots, once out on the road it's fine. Like Chris said, If you want to track the car don't get a sunroof, I'm 6' exactly and with a helmet I'm comfortable in my car but if I was much taller or had a sunroof it would be a problem.

Did you even get those rims home before you decided to dump the car?

What do you mean? They are on the car lol. When I bought them, this wasn't the plan. And this too is only if I can unload it this way so I can get the Raptor for a deal. If that doesn't work, I will be keeping the Lexus for now.

You have already decided in your head to get the raptor lol, no way that Lexus stays in any circumstance.

Inb4 Shak has the raptor for sale
