There are certain ways to bring the price waaaaay down for certain people.
Trucks right now have an automatic $10,000 on 2015's and that number could go up to $20,000 depending on models ( crew cab, double, etc )Um. I don't get it. How is this a $20K off when you are paying $39.5K for the car?Originally posted by KPHMPH

I know this car has been posted here before, but it seems the price has gone down substaintially. A 2011 ESS M3 with low, Canadian, mileage thats priced semi-decently. Still needs to come down another 5-7k to be realistic. Who keeps buying these overpriced M3's in Alberta? There was an 09' E90 at Eurowerks with a front end collision that was priced at 42k. People are nuts.
Been watching that one too - actually wanted to take it for a test drive during a warm spell back in Feb when I had my car in for an oil change but they wouldn't let me because it's on PSS tires. Waiting on a true recession deal, but now I'm paranoid after reading about increased rod bearing wear on S/C e92s.Originally posted by jutes

Going with that logic, the other guy could say he just sold an ATS for $299!!! (plus $299 per month for the next 23 months and $29k after that)Originally posted by benyl

That's why I won't list mine. Listed it last year and it was just non stop dealing with tire kickers. What is ESS, and what is treated bearing? Why you price higher than this m3?Originally posted by Canmorite

... You probably shouldn't be looking at the ad if you don't know what & why.
I had half a dozen people contact me with "interest" on my 09 E92 last summer. No one actually gave me any money.Originally posted by BavarianBeast

At least yours is priced realistically, all it takes is the right buyer to come along.Originally posted by Canmorite

People who aren't into the M3, or haven't owned one and looked at the forums, won't know what a ESS S/C kit is or why the rod bearings were treated. They probably don't even know the difference in idrives from 08 and 09+. All they see is the massive price difference and will probably go somewhere else. Unless they really do their research or you find a local forum guy that knows what kind of ridiculousness a s/c'd M3 is, finding a serious buyer for that price will be really difficult. Just my 2cents.Originally posted by BavarianBeast

Honestly the bearings aren't that big of a deal. Do frequent oil changes, and get the oil analyzed. Once you see wear get them changed, or do it yourself with the new higher clearance bearings. I have 50,000 km on my SC M3 and have not yet changed the bearings, but I haven't seen any signs of wear on the oil analysis either so not overly worried.Originally posted by Strider

Mileage is a little high, but its a 6spd and price seems decent. Thoughts?
I put my supercharger on at 33,000km. I did oil analysis before I swapped bearings and everything was good from the analysis. Decided to do it anyways at 52,000km or so and the stock bearings were just about scorched straight through.Originally posted by CSMRX7

It's a pretty big deal when they fail and you are spending $10k for a replacement engine.
