Everytime I try to find the depreciation king, and it inevitably ends up being a BMW 7 Series....

2018 7 Series for $56k. That's probably close to $80k in depreciation in two years. This one is nicely spec'ed as well.

Maybe not a fair comparison, but I think a Ferrari GTC4Lusso loses that in a year. Or, at least loses more than a 7-Series

This XFR might not exactly be a recession deal, but it's a fine all around deal for anyone who is interested in cheap luxury and decent performance:

Has the nice red interior I wish mine had, and who doesn't like black. Great mileage.

I really like those cars and black on red is the best color combination. I wish the whole interior was red though.

I must be getting old because subs in the trunk is absolutely not a selling feature for me anymore.

I'd rather have the trunk space as well. Plus it speaks to the younger guy who probably drove the hell out of it.

...and especially since the xfr comes with a sub in the spare. It's not amazing, but it does the job for this old guy.

Zero chance I'd buy a car with subs in the trunk. Aside from the fact that the owner was probably a dbag and drove as such/skipped maintenance items/etc, you'll be chasing down little rattles and squeaks for eternity. I was young and dumb once, and had subs in the trunk like that... they literally shook the car apart.

Yeah what the hell are they thinking leaving subs in there? That cars definitely rat bagged.

Plus you never know what kind of skid mark actually did the install. Essentially nothing good can come if any of that.

I dunno could be a decent deal if you find a few kilos of drugs in some of the interior panels

Please. Knowing the kind of snowflake driving that thing it would just be weed.

I must be the only person actively considering adding an amp and sub to my vehicle!

I'm not above it, I'm just not interested in buying someone else's stereo.

    Bump

Anyone seen anything attractive as we head into the tail end of summer? I know prices have been largely inflated for the most part but figured this thread needed some new life.

Yep. Been basically unemployed for the last three weeks, likely going to be pretty unemployed for a while.

Are you planning to do something different or just waiting it out?

Started looking around for more stable jobs, brushing up the LinkedIn and making a résumé (man it’s been a long time, over a decade since I needed a résumé). It’s tough because the owner is really good to me, and I got a decent rate raise earlier in the year but the instability is definitely wearing me more now that I’m getting older.

Is this a sign of a market correction? Hoping to pick up a convertible this fall.

In our world it’s a sign that the market needs to correct. Talked to another wholesaler I’ve done business with and they are no different, just a lot more costs and guys to employ right now so it sucks a lot more for them.
