The Creator - John David Washington is one of my favorite actors right now, so I'm biased, but this film is worth the price of admission.

I've seen 90% of the movie when it was on a movie channel decades ago.
I'll have to rewatch Pacino's over acting again. Also the daughter from Cybil (TV show). Hot red head.

Been watching Gen V and it isn't bad or good. I have come to realize one of the big draws is the shock factor but it does start to wear thin. Will continue to watch because why not.

Tried to watch Gen V, had to stop watching when they started to talk about their social media accounts.

Ditto. I should have followed suit with Suntan and stopped watching it in the first ep. I watched all 3 released episodes, and won't be watching more.

I mean it was the same thing in The Boys. They just didn't go as in depth and crazy with it and was more based off popularity points.

I’m really enjoying Ashoka, it’s my perfect blend of Star Wars expanded universe porn I love.

Spent a lot of my youth with the old legends novels etc and I like this fresh direction, it’s fresh without being stupid like the sequel stuff was.
Ahsoka is ok. But there is still some stupid in there.

We’re 2 eps into ahsoka so far, and it’s pretty slow. I’ve liked pretty much every other Star Wars series, but this one is hard to watch.

This is basically what I imagine Zenops would be like if he took meds. Cool youtube channel with history on Asian science, technology, and business:

Asianometry is a great channel. But tends to focus on chips a lot since creator is American Taiwanese.

He broke the news of SMIC 7nm process a year ago and somehow US politicians didn't do any homework and lost their shit when Huawei released a SoC based on it. In the end it's nothing to be scared about. But industry insider do expect the US bans will only hinder China for about a decade or so.

Just watched The Creator. By director of Rogue One. All of his signature shots are there and production design and effects are well done. It's technically great but pair with a clunky story/plot. 6/10.

It's not a bad Sci Fi but the topic and plot is probably why it got dumped in Sept movie graveyard. Pretty sad box office wise, people keep saying there's nothing new but won't take chances at original IP like this when it comes out.

Han Zimmer score is great. Washington is great. CGI people knocked this out of the park, making a $80M movie looks way better than $180M one.

The best of the whole series was the last episode.
Last episode was so good haha, amazing ending. Super enjoyed the season overall, hopefully there's another with how it ended.

Pretty fair review Xtrema - I'd give it around 7 myself, like I said, worth the $ of a ticket, based on the things you already listed.

Impressive that Gareth shot it with a prosumer Sony FX3. Able to shoot more on location instead of green screen/the volume by cutting crew size.
