How bad is the single lane southbound?
Have to head to work this afternoon. Just want an idea to plan my head start.

It was pretty awful yesterday. Use the traffic feature on google maps to get a good idea of how bad it will be. I'd consider taking 33rd/Richmond to Sarcee Road (not Sarcee trail) or 37th street. Can hop back on Crowchild at 50th ave (Mt Royal Gate).
Is it just northbound that's affected? Gotta head to Chinook from Tuscany in an hour
Where on Crowchild is the construction/deconstruction?
^ looks like jut south of Richmond road.
I NEVER travel anywhere in the city without checking Google traffic first ..... radio = useless and the city boards of travel times dont help much when you're already parked in it.

Might as well add EB Glenmore heading to the DF NB/SB ramps as well - they are down to 1 lane there and Gmaps shows a parking lot.
I would just avoid crowchild completely and save yourself the headache. Either take sarcee around to glenmore or take elbow or macleod. Pretty simple.
Both north and south are affected. http://calgaryherald.com/news/local-...wchild-closure
Drove through that shit yesterday. Backed up almost to Macleod. Got to the DF turnoff and it was 3 guys and a foreman.Originally posted by revelations

I'd bet anything it was a lump sum bid.

Should be interesting!
Ended up getting off at 33ave and taking Sarcee Rd and 37 st to Glenmore.
But when I was going home, I just took the 1 SB lane of crowchild since it was late at night anyhow.
World of pain as I go through this ten times a week at least.
Looks like a pretty epic AutoX course.

Two lane traffic circles - MacKenzie Towne and another on the south side of Ramsay.Originally posted by kaput
I don't see this going well. People can barely handle single lane circles. Are there any 2 lane circles in the city yet? Never mind 3 in a row! Even worse, that half circle splits into 3 lanes part way around. I'm looking forward to the dashcam videos when this is built.
Was that your blue Merc in the animation? It looked like it was cornering pretty hard.Originally posted by rage2

As someone who uses this interchange regularly, I'm looking forward to it.

The one on Dartmouth Road is actually designed AND marked well and people go through that without a hitch most times. But again there usually isn't MUCH for traffic there.

The MT one is bad because of south side white boy idiots. The Flanders ones should be better just because of less morons.
