I called and they car replace the screen for $279

Wow that's fairly pricey! Perhaps you can negotiate somewhat? The main guy is Salim, tell him Karan sent you and that he fixed my S6 Edge. That might give you some discount?

This place has the S6 edge at 409 dollars, usually they are quite fair.

So perhaps the price quoted by Speedbit is actually not bad! The guy gave me a break on my fix somewhat as he's my dad's patient but sounds like in general his prices aren't bad when compared to iphix.

The screen itself off ebay looks like its ~$200 CAD
so $75 for the work + time doesn't seem to bad, its quite an easy fix tho if you just follow youtube carefully/buy the screen/digitizer together

The "edge" screens are way more expensive to make than the regular screens. They also embed the digitizer right in the screen, so you are buying more than just the glass.

Just kinda surprised that the screen is almost 1/3 of the price of the phone. I get that its not just the screen.
