I'm willing to bet he was not in the driver seat when this happened and the bag was thrown after some attempt from the cab driver to extort her or handle her.
Just my guess.

He tried to 'extort' her for money to pay for the mess she made. How can you accuse him of 'handling her' without any basis? Not sure why you're sticking up for her actions...Originally posted by dirtsniffer

Based on what? A 5 line news blurb? Written by some guy who went on exactly what the cab or cab company said?
I'm not trying to stick up for her, but there are 3 sides to every story.
I'll reserve judgment thanks.

Extortion? It's the law. $100 when you vomit in cab.Originally posted by dirtsniffer

"Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners."
ya, extort was the wrong choice of word for sure. My last post was the only point I was trying to make.
My issue is the same as others, cabs get a news release on something that's not even news worthy and all the internet justice warriors are immediately jumping to where she works while hoping she gets fired from her job. All because a shady cab company wants to whine about a minor issue with a drunk?
I hope some of the Justice warriors have kids who do something stupid when they are 18 so we can drag them through the streets with our pitch forks throwing shit on them.
At least pick arrests that actually matter like domestic violence.. Oh but we don't get a break down of those arrests. And to the idiot who thinks the news mentions every pot bust... LOL. This puke bag was such a minor arrest that's cherry picked out of the hundreds or thousands that happened that week. So this one person needs to be shamed when hundreds of others weren't? Totally makes sense.

you have her in your internal address book?
It's gotta suck being a cabbie...................
Since everyone is a victim these days and there is next to no punishment for crime in Canada anymore, public shaming is all we've got. I'm sure her parents still see her as a special little flower. She just had a bad night.Originally posted by gwill
You Guys care way too much about this. Why is this even news worthy? Who cares where she works. How many other petty crimes go unreported by the news but here we are discussing this one? Our news is becoming like TMZ these days....
We need real vigilante justice, that is literally the only thing that could deter this absurd antisocial behavior that has become so much more accepted by the pussified pc crowd.
What about every drunk that the police arrest and throw in the drunk tank? Or every drunk a nurse or Dr has to deal with? Where are those articles?
How many drunk drivers do the police take off the road in a week? How many sexual assault charges are regularly laid? But here's our media posting about one drunk passenger yet again... continuing with cherry picking one person to name and shame when there are significantly worst arrests and charges happening that go unreported.
Sure, there are worst charges and things happening.Originally posted by gwill

I think this made news based on how low this person fell. It's one thing to puke in a cab. Another to throw the vomit bag at the guy because she wouldn't own up.
^you don't think emt's, Drs or cops get spit on or puked on often? I would imagine police are dealing with tons of drunks that do way worst daily. We don't hear about these in the news because it's a hazard of the job. Or maybe the cab companies are paying for the stories to be printed.
Allegedly throwing a bag of puke is low on the crime scale. Perhaps a 1/10.
This thread is sick!
Well if it isn't barf Vader.
Yeah, I looked up her name up in the Outlook address book for AHS to see which hospital she works out of.Originally posted by rob the knob

I think the public shaming is warranted. There was a certain malice in what she did. I have had my home burglarized. I have been assaulted. I would rather go through those again than have somebody's puke thrown on me.
It's disgusting, it's insulting and it's disrespectful at even the most basic forms of common decency. And it was meant to be. She deserves what she gets IMO.
The reason it is making the news is the very fact that it goes against all forms of common logic and respect. Jews, Atheists, Christians, Muslims, Agnostics, Buddhists etc. all agree...being vomit bombed is gross.
I did see some people get puked on while watching Jerry Springer years ago. But even that, on the lowest show on the planet, was a consensual puking.
