Ottawa Cab driver threatens uber driver and passengers

What are the odds the police will lay charges in the YouTube video that showed an Ottawa cab driver threatening an uber driver and his passengers. For how sensitive police are here you would think Ottawa would take this seriously.

We won't see this on the news here though. Cab driver offers to call the police telling the driver if he gets charged so will he for taking a fare.

Mandate a heavy fine on anyone getting paid to transport stuff without commercial insurance and let the taxi industry fight at least on that level.

I can understand cab companies being against Uber, but why don't the drivers just go work for Uber if it's getting that popular? I think that if there was a company similar to Uber in my industry, and it was affecting my company, I'd quit my job and go work for them. I don't think I'd go around threatening their employees and customers.

#1, average uber driver is $15/hr and you still have to maintain car.

#2, I would assume medallion value will plummet if everyone drives for uber.

I think the industry need a shakeup. But I also believe consumer need to be protected and uber is doing very little on that front.

Maybe they don't own a 3 series like the majority of Uber drivers so they feel inadequate.
