Pretty neat watches and at a pretty decent price. Thought I'd share with everyone. What do you guys think of these watches?

The Hornet is pretty cool, and to get sapphire crystal at this price-point is pretty decent.

Don't know enough about the quartz movements in these to comment.

Looks awesome. I'm leery of combo-movements that aren't proven though.

It's a Seiko movement. It's not as cool as the Seiko spring drive, but it does accomplish a mechanical feel on the chronograph side of things with a quartz movement. Pretty impressive at the movement's price point.

The movement is being used in a lot of watch startup companies. These guys aren't the first. Seiko had them in some of their watches for a couple of years already. Being a Seiko movement, I wouldn't worry about reliability at all. And even if there is a problem, it's cheap to replace anyways. Replica watches are going to start coming out with these movements pretty soon (if not already).

edit - guess I've been out of the loop on replica watches. Tons of them are using these VK movements since 2013.

I got one as a gift this weekend - the Field Officer.

Overall I'm quite happy with it. I have a narrow wrist, so it was nice to find a watch that has a smaller face, but still provides a good look.

The watch is very simple, and somewhat underwhelming when you first unbox it. However, after I put it on I really liked the look and feel for the price point. It's comfortable and I love the simple/clean look.

Can't speak to quality given that I've only had it for 2 days.
