It's a ciniplex venue, but no actual theatres. Apparently it's going to be more like an arcade kinda like cinescape at eau Claire back in the day.
Personally I'm all for it, nice to have more options for things to do especially in that area. Good move not putting a theatre... Empire in country hills or ciniplex Sunridge are so close anyways that there isn't really a need
Missed that. Corrected. Live venue too.
Sounds like a neat option, and reasonably close to me as well. I will be checking it out for sure.

So what kind of gaming are they catering to?
I can understand a hall for performance may be competitive with Grey Eagle. And a bar/restaurant may work in that area. But gaming? Am I missing something? Is there even a big enough competitive gaming scene to drag kids out of their homes?
From what I read previously , Cineplex has invested in an exports league so there's a good chance this is part of their strategy. Maybe they are counting on visitors coming in for tournaments?
I think it will be more of a arcade style gaming, with 16 player f1 and such.
Although if they start playing more of the esports events, combined with their bar and such, it could be a big money item within a few short years. Maybe even become a host for smaller events.

I think Shanks got that covered. Corporate events in front a bunch of Xbox One's and PS4s is kinda sad.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Sounds like a good place for corporate events... plus unless you like skiing, Calgary doesn't offer much to do in the winter

Ok that makes sense as part of that strategy.
