Default Last camp trip of 2015 *PICS*

Did our annual Thanksgiving weekend camping trip at InterLakes campground in Kananaskis. Originally fearing for snow...the weather was unbelievably warm!! Not as warm as here, but for K country, in the fall?!!!!
We had friends from San Diego come with us, and got to see some good wildlife for them.

Got a huge site 50' from the lake. First time we've camped at Interlakes. Definitely going back again. Although probably not during the summer.

    Anyways...here are pics:

^^ Haha...was that the same truck that my dog was watching with interest when you guys were across from us that year?

Were you guys at Elkwood again? Was it fully packed?

Sure was warm wasn't it? Saturday night, around 11:00, I was outside in my T-shirt!!

Didn't go camping, but we did take the kids out for a paddle on Sunday afternoon.

Always enjoy your pic's Dave. Question: What do you do to clean the Denali grill after meals? I've used those grills/skillets a few times and find that a quick douse with fresh oil and a wipe down does the trick. Am I doing it right?

Dad and I got out over the weekend Turkey hunting for a couple days on the Koocanusa...

I sure miss my kids being that age. Beautiful way to spend time with your family.

Awesome pics! I have yet to try the Koocanusa area. Next on our list.
As for the grill. Each time I use it, it gets easier and easier. What I do, is after I've finished cooking, I turn off the burners. It's a great "warming plate" while we eat, and leave "seconds" on.
Then when we're finished, I'll use a dough cutter as my scraper and scrape all the gunk off and into the garbage. If the grill is cold by this time, I'll heat it up just a bit. Once it's scraped clean, I use a paper towel to wipe it down. Then add some oil and wipe that into it. Done.

    I love that grill.

Haha...thanks. Yes, I have no shame in admitting that our "camping" is not "roughing it" in the least. I did my time. Now it's all about the comfort.

I was going to go try there last weekend, I've never been able to get a spot there. I may try this upcoming weekend if they are still open.

You just missed it. All the remaining Kananaskis campgrounds close thanksgiving weekend.
Mt Kidd is open year round. And McLean Creek out by Bragg Creek.

    Here's some others:
