Default anybody else having issues with their cell phone signal?

I'm with Bell, and I find that my phone keeps going to emergency only here and there, I would have to restart the phone every 2 hours or so...

anybody else having issues with their cell phone providers and signals?

and yes I paid my bill already.....so it isn't that......

No problems here. iPhone 5S on Bell. Have been on my phone all weekend on LTE from work issues.

    Hmm,

My Shaw biz is down (internet and TV)... I'm wondering if a major fiber backhaul got snipped...

I haven't noticed anything on either Fido/Rogers or Telus on 5.1.1 or 6.0.

GF is on Telus, few times a day it says "no sim card" but I don't think that is a carrier issue.

If you have an S6/Edge, then it's because of the update. All my friends on Rogers are getting it, texts are delayed a few hours or don't come in at all until the next day, but sending is fine. Seems to happen only on WiFi, but have experienced it when on LTE too.

    No

Her sim card has a significant scratch across the metal contacts, and we think that is the culprit rather than Telus or the phone hardware.

If you know her sim card has an issue i don't know why you would put up with connection problems rather than go get it swapped out for 5 bucks lol.

it isn't the sim card I think, if it worked before, the Bell rep kept telling me that it is the sim card, so I went to get replacement, and it still has connectivity issues....

I hope they fix the issue soon, I hate having to reset the phone to get a signal!!! and I can't even use the phone to call out, really whats the point of the phone....

they now told me to send it back to Samsung and get a manufacturer to fix the phone, so I would get a loaner phone for now..... but if it is an OS issue with only s6/edge/note5 then I don't see how sending away my phone will fix anything........

How would you come to the conclusion that we're putting up with anything? It was just last night that we confirmed that was the culprit (put in my Telus SIM and the problem goes away and also discovered the scratch). I already picked up a new one for her this morning, Telus stores aren't open Sunday night...

If she is using a Samsung S4, there is a known issue with the sim card reader on that device.

With rogers, got a txt several days ago saying they are doing maintenance work in the area and service will be disrupted over the next 2 weeks. Will be periodic.
