Halo 5 (WARNING: Possible spoilers in thread)

Seeing as the game is out in a little over 7 hours, thought it would be nice to have a place to talk about the great things, the cool things, the not so cool things, the horrible things about the game.

As well, maybe try to get some Beyond warzone games going

For the first month or so, I would recommend using the spoiler tags if you're roaring ahead of everyone else in the game and come across something in a later mission you want to discuss. Gamers are (mostly) courteous people

I'm just looking forwards to multiple one liners from Buck (Nathan Fillion) as well as playing with the same Blue Team that I read about back in The Fall Of Reach in 2001-ish

I'm on mission 14 and whooooooooooboy have they made a hell of a game. Playing it on heroic i don't think I've ever died as much in a halo game o.O

i played for an hour tonight. got destroyed in multiplayer and did some campaign.
I took Thursday and Friday off work to get some real playing time in.

Finished on heroic. Damn that took a while o.o Halo 4 took me somewhere around 8 hours start to finish. Halo 5 about 13 hours.

I also love that they went balls first into the "AI will eventually realize their power over organics." Cortana as the big baddie... I honestly did not see that coming until about halfway through the game. I was expecting the premise to be rescuing Cortana now that she is non-rampant from the Promethians... But for her to be The Reclaimer and to actually start the Reclamation that you and she fought so hard against in Halo 4? Best plot twist in Halo to date

Nahh this is the easiest one yet now that your team can res you after a bad grenade bounce or something. The enemies are a bit tougher overall but the fireteam more than makes up for that.

CE Anniversary on Heroic. Now that was hard. Those fucking bridges in the canyon

Still enjoying alot it so far. I am only 5 or 6 missions in and I am very interested as to where they are taking things. I trust nothing at this point. Nothing.

Kindof Spoiler:

Well that game was definitely ( Halo 2 ) 2. The more I think about it the more similar it is.

Being the second game in the second trilogy I guess that makes sense.

I will admit I didn't find finishing it to be all that satisfying. Not sure I actually like the big plot twist but I understand why they did it.

Halo 6 better come out this generation. I can't wait another 69 years for the story to actually progress.

Just finished it. Good game.

But, does anyone else have the feeling that these campaigns are getting shorter? Maybe I'm just getting older and it seems that way. I dunno.

The Halo 2 ending had me kicking and screaming... This one almost causes the same response from me.

It didnt feel overly long to me. Thats why i always play my first runthrough on heroic to make it stretch out a little bit.

Hoping to organize some of the guys to do a coop legendary runthrough ( Online... ). I think that could be a lot of fun.

Would you guys say the replay-ability of the campaign is good? I re played Halo 3 countless times because the maps were so open and huge that I could do all sorts of different strategies. I found Halo 4 very linear.

I dont feel any urge to replay it if that's what you are asking. Might do a 4p coop legendary run but that's about it.

War zone is pretty fun though.

Played it for an hour or so yesterday. Maybe it'll take some time to get into it but it doesn't feel like the Halo I'm used to.
