You know those bored stay at home moms who's entire lives revolve around driving their kids to soccer, various cleaning accessories, and worrying about neighbourhood rapists? The kind of people that watch the View and go "uh huh..." Those unfulfilled people who try to fill the void in their empty lives by writing whiny letters to the editor complaining about shit that no one really cares about?
Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
So good. Sushi tuna ball is awesome.Originally posted by rage2

Torafuku.
Like Anju or Pigeonhole here in Calgary, but better, more creative and slightly cheaper. Very hip setting.
Only a couple months old, now my favorite spot in Vancouver.
Suika - if you're craving Japanese, but don't want sushi
Kishimoto - awesome sushi
Miku - if you're craving Japanese
Chambar - if you're craving French
L'Abattoir - if you're craving French
Phenom Penh - if you're craving SE Asian
Shanghai River - if you're in Richmond
Tasty's Indian Bistro - if you're in Delta
and that's just off the top of my head. I miss living in Vancouver

santouka
kintaro
tojo's
guu
kingyo
I usually only go to japanese food places because they are so good and fresh and so much cheaper than here. Minus tojo's lol
santouka > kintaro in my opinion
marutama has a great chicken broth
guu - I like the original one the best
shanghai river or top shanghai cuisine for some dumplings (both are good)
revel room - awesome place to chill have some drinks
chill winston - good place to chill
flying pig - good for some drinks
phenom penh - raw beef + wings are good, I'd skip it though - we have better pho and raw beef here in Calg
sushi - most of what I'd go to is listed above already
I was there this past weekend and ate at Pier 7 in North Van.
Wicked view of downtown at night, great ambiance, and the food (Salmon) was excellent.
I was just in Vancouver last week. Didn't dive too much into the ethnic foods but did try "the Checkmate Caesar" from a place called The Score on Davie. It was mostly for the novelty of saying I ordered it.
Just a note, I didn't know at first (and not that it matters to me) but it turned out the place is in a LGBT neighbourhood. Just be forewarned....
Calgary is so much like an iphone: iCalgary - There's a bylaw for that.
Not sure how new it is but West had the best service I've ever had. Food was also very good. They've won multiple service awards.
