[B] That mount is just a cheap insignia one from best buy. Low profile mount without tilt. Ended up having to modify the back plate due to stud placement.
I grabbed a flat wall mount from ikea. Although will be interesting to see where the studs are.
My tv has a 200x200 mount

I bought the best mount I could find at the time - SANUS VLF220-B3 for $4XX from Futureshop just over a year ago and used it for about a month before moving houses. Since then its just been sitting in the basement. If anyone is interested they can have it for $175.
I mounted mine with a slim wall mount from samsung. the monprice one looks exactly the same.
instead of mounting it on the studs, i used a couple toggler anchors that came with the mounting kit on the drywall. they're rated for over 200 lbs each, and very secure. (using on studs would've made the TV off center). you can buy the anchors from home depot too.
I had the same issue in my old house. So when I built my new place I got the framers some coffee and donuts in exchange they used left over wood to make backer boards where all my tvs will beOriginally posted by yellowsnow

If you want something pre fab you can look into a sonax sound bar mount or sewell sound bar mount.

I had Shaun mount my tv and conceal the wires around a wall for me. He's a great guy, top notch, and super professional. No complaints from me at all.Originally posted by max_boost

I have a slightly related question. I don't mean to derail the thread but I figured I'd just ask it here. I've been wanting to put a TV in the bedroom of my apartment for a while now but always dropped the idea thinking there wasn't enough space. I got to thinking if I get a small enough TV, something like 32" and a wall mount that can fit in a corner it might work.
So that's the issue, the space available in the bedroom is like a corner in-between where to two wall-to-wall windows meet. I am not sure what sort of wall mount should I be getting that would work in that spot? I imagine I am not being very descriptive, but I will try to take a pic of the corner I am talking about it and post it later.
EDIT: Thanks to whoever moved this into the right thread.

^ Just get one that's fully articulating and put the mount on one wall then tilt the tv to compensate?

It also doesn't require a huge wall mount portion.
Yea, that's what I've been thinking. Was browsing Bestbuy and looking at options. Seems like a couple I came across might work. I just had a thought sitting at the office about this so when I get home I will check out what exactly it looks like and also see if there are some other alternatives to placing it in that corner.
I noticed in the other thread you got a 32" Samsung Smart TV? Most likely what I will do as I have another larger Samsung Smart TV in the living room. Where did you get yours from? If Bestbuy the best option or should I also look elsewhere?
Thanks
Thanks for the link. That might work. Again I have to look at it tonight and visualize the area. Are you able to buy stuff on Costco online without the membership? I will see what their TV prices are like too. Maybe just worth getting their membership.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Make sure the mount can extend far enough for where you want the TV to be.Originally posted by shakalaka

Yes, you can order Costco online without a membership.

Yes, online does not require a membership and shipping is free (and very fast in my experience). Returns are hassle free as well, even without membership.Originally posted by shakalaka

For TV's there's usually even better deals in-store at Costco.
Okay the TV's I quickly looked at on Costco that were well priced aren't Smart TV's. So that makes sense. Hmm perhaps I will go browse around the store and see what kind of deals they have on TV's. I wouldn't mind getting the membership if they are good.
For the mount, I am thinking one of two options. Either that corner I mentioned above or on the other side of that wall on the flat portion. I will post pics tonight and get opinions on that well.
Thanks everyone.
Edit: Is there a difference between full-motion mount vs articulating mount or that's just different names for the same thing?
This one appears to extend the TV much further out, so I won't run into issues of the sides of the TV not fitting I feel...

Ended up using a Ikea Uppleva 37"-55" mount to mount my tv flat on the wall last night - used their cable hiding thing as well.

Will end up painting the cable thing the same as the wall and one day consider putting the cables in the wall (although I am holding out for the day I get a larger tv that may require more than power and 2 hdmi cables)
