I actually had one guy over at my house for dinner, who at the time, I had no idea how big he actually was. Turns out he was this guy from Yellowknife and made his outfit by hand completely. The photographer sounded like a headache and a half to deal with about rights and such but that's a whole other can of worms I'll keep mostly shut about lol. With the outfit and make up, they just look so badass to me!

Great stuff, Ryan. Looked like it was a lot of fun!

Erik, I commented already on FB but that #1 still stands out the most to me!

Earl, I have 28mm f/2 ais you could try if you wanna compare.

Really cool stuff of the Native American dress.

I like that one a lot better than the other!! Very nice! I think the foreground adds some perspective to the shot and appreciation for the immense scale!

It was just by luck. We were in Waterton for a couple of days in the Summer when we saw a big crowd and thought we would see what was going on.

We got there before it started. An elder was in a wheelchair, he said he was going to pray for everyone there.
I don't know what I was expecting, but when they helped him stand and he prayed in his Native tongue, I can't explain how amazing of a feeling that was!!!

There was a Headress transfer, which I guess was rare to witness.

Thanks Matt. My main focus on editing it was to make the rock in the foreground seem inviting. Some selective dodging and burning there...

big A, cool shots! always been fascinated by the native american culture.

agree on the 2nd pic being better steven. the foreground rocks gives a nice perspective of the size of the grand canyon.

matt, have you used your 28m 2 AIS on your D810?
    overall happy with my Nikkor SLR system, 28mm 2.8 AIS, 50mm 1.8 E, 135mm 2.8, 200mm 4
down the line I might be tempted on getting a Df (only because it's the same size as my F3P) but not sure how well it works for MF and maybe get another UWA down the road.

Earl, D700 + aftermarket focus screen is still the best option for AIS glass IMO. I had a 28/2 AIS and it was great on digital.

totally forgot about the D700 and yeah, I'm a little weary jumping to the Df especially because it costs quite a bit and might not be the best for manual focusing, perhaps I'm just getting antsy with the M240 being at Leica NJ for over 2 months now just for cleaning

Don't know the digital terms for it, but some dodging and burning would probably help. Go all ansel adams on that bitch.

Try slightly decreasing the saturation on your blue channel. Conversely you could brush in a different temperature where required.
