Bed liner paint job - would you?

Spotted this beauty up by the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday - personally I think it looks sort of dumb and especially so on a car.

If I was buying a used car, this would be only slightly better than shitty paint. What car is that, a charger? Fits the classless demographic.

I think it's great for a truck actually, used to be a real nicely set up off road Tacoma around here painted like that and it was awesome. But a car? No way.....

    Winter beater why not.
I did the hood of my DD/WB. Paint was heat blistered and chipped and I had a spare can in the garage.

I want to do it to my truck, BUT I do take it off roading frequently as well as use it for other stuff so it's purely for a "save the paint aspect for me. Too much money though.

Now you have aroused my curiosity - please do describe the "classless demographic" that fits a modern day Dodge Charger because it would be interesting to see if the people who got into this Charger fit into this "classless demographic".

If the existing paint is shit, this is at least better than rust (looks like it was well applied)

Paint with clear will reflect heat. Bedliner absorbs it.

Way too hot, it's good for rockers but its a terrible idea for a 4x4 that travels 2kph with no AC. Let alone a daily driver.

I would plasti dip the whole car before bed liner. Plasti dip at least covers up imperfections, stops rust and if you hate it, you can remove it. Once you use spray on bed liner, there is no going back to paint. As mentioned, it would be dumb to do it on anything worth any value because you could never resell it.

I did it on the bumpers of my 4Runner, I thought it turned out pretty well. Would never do it to paint though.
