His medical bills are covered by insurance, and he's asking for"after care, physical therapy, not working for two months and expenses." So basically he's trying to monetize sympathy for his accident, and use the proceeds to fund his motorcycle trip. Sounds like something Buttcrack Dave would do... surprised he hasn't called in the local tabloids yet.

Sounds like he wasn't planning on 'working' anyways. Unless him making videos of himself yelling at other users of the road counts as work... Which I'm guessing didn't come up as he was clearing customs.

I wouldn't be surprised if his insurance rejected the claim on the basis that he injured himself participating in an extreme sport with risks assumed by the participant. Rarely do people have the right coverage. I've seen similar (snowboarding) claims rejected by general travel insurance before.
