Costco NW (and I suspect others) has a torque calibration machine mounted next to the tire service desk. No idea what/if they charge.

If you are just doing wheel lug nuts for swapping wheels, you could just buy an old school "beam style" torque wrench.
They don't really need to be re-calibrated.
Bump on a good deal

Bosch 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Drill/Driver Kit with 2 Batteries $75
Wow, that is a fantastic deal. For the more handy beyonders on here is this a good pickup for a good around the home drill?
I can't say i know the difference between all the different types of drills.
Basically i want something that will literally work forever and be OK sitting on a shelf 364 days a year.

Yeah that's a good deal, but Amazon's list price is out to lunch (as usual). That set runs around $140CAD so it's a bit over half price - still worth it for having around the house for sure.
Even if you don't get it at $75, it looks like from the comments it goes on sale at $99 pretty regularly. I'm tempted to pick this up, but I really don't use the one I have enough to necessitate a second one (though having a drill with two batteries is pretty handy).
I have one of these from amazon but with the large plastic storage case. Great drill so far.
Decided to pick it up. Good quality tool for a reasonable price. Ill probably never buy another drill.
Its something that has been in the back of my mind for a while.

This is a great tool for the price, the batteries are a bit small but you get two and it only takes 30 minutes for a charge. Perfect for something to keep around the house, and it'll be ready to use whenever you need it.
Pretty good deal but the $99 Special Buy Milwaukee at Home Depot blows this thing out of the water. I find this Bosch to be underpowered compared to the Milwaukee.

My brother worked as a residential electrician for a few years, so he has every tool for every job under the sun. Any time I need a drill for a job that will exceed this ones capabilities. If ever. I will drive 15 minutes to borrow one lol.
Borrowing his shit is half the reason i don't own many tools myself. Whats the point.

For $179 you can get the Ridgid Drill/Driver impact combo, with 2 batteries and free lifetime battery replacement. I also think they're better tools than Bosch's low-end stuff. For the average home owner though who might use a drill once every few months, this is a decent deal and they will never know the difference.
Only thing I hate about a lot of the combos these days is they are ditching the hard cases in favor of these useless fabric "contractor bags". The hard cases are sooooo much nicer but usually only come with the really high end stuff now.

Jeez, I would have definitely been all over that.
Picked this up, thanks for the heads up. Perfect timing too, needed a new drill.

I agree, I have that pair in addition to all my other Ridgid stuff and it's great for the price (especially the impact), but if you only really need a drill-driver the Bosch is still a good deal. The Fuego drill in the Ridgid kit is a bit on the weak side, IMO.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Yeah if you're willing to pay a bit more, Ridgid has a combo that includes the hammerdrill instead of the Fuego if you want a little bit better drill (even though the Fuego comes with a bolt-on right angle handle still), and apparently that's the better drill of the two. I think it's around $100 more though. Same impact driver.Originally posted by BerserkerCatSplat

For most people it's probably more important for the impact driver to be the better of the two, and in this case it is. Personally I never use a drill for anything harder than screws, drywall, or wood. Someone doing more heavy duty stuff might benefit from a higher end Milwaukee or the Ridgid hammer drill variant. I pretty well just use the impact driver to change my winter/summer wheels. Fantastic tools for the price though, and I like all the little touches like the LED lights and battery level indicators.

I saw it show up in the new threads and wondered when I started somethign like this... lol.
I actually bought this set months ago, cuz I'm el-cheapo and trying to squeeze value. I've actually found uses for all of the pieces so far so it's a good deal for me.
