Not a bad price, but I am hoping to get into some light furniture building, so it's probably not going to cut it. Skimping on a planer seems like a bad idea.

a lot of people I know have gotten the DeWalt planer, and I haven't heard any complaints from them on it yet. It's making me consider getting one too once I can find a gud deel on one.

Yea, this is the I'd buy too if there was a nice Black Friday/Monday/Week/etc deal on it.

What are people using for table saws? Bosch? Dewalt? Something else?

I am using a ridgid contractors table saw. Good value for the money, portable, and lots of features. I like it a lot. But if you are going to have a dedicated workshop, I would get the metal version with the weighted base.

That is ridiculous. Can't imagine that's going to be legit.

BTW, do you just stumble across stuff like this by accident, or what?

Saw it in an email from Amazon. After doing some quick research just noticed it ships from Singapore so it is subject to duties/taxes/etc and it is from a new seller. So this doesn't look very legit at all.

That's an amazon scam. It'll take you weeks to get your money back and they now have your credit card info.

Basically any new seller with crazy discounted items on amazon is a scam.

I don't think Amazon passes on the buyers credit card information. The payments are processed by Amazon and not by third party sellers.

Third party seller, zero feedback. Not suspicious at all.

    Buy saw get stand free.

The stand is heavier than the saw
If you buy online, the stand adds itself to the cart.
If you're looking to return a portion of the purchase, the stand is valued $74 and the saw $126

So, much to my surprise, the package was not delivered on time and I've sent an Amazon request to the seller for a tracking number or a refund. If I don't get a reply in 48 hrs Amazon recommends filing for a refund under their A to Z guarantee. So I get to see the system in action over a small dollar item. Wish me luck.

Any deals on drill bits? Looking to get my father a new set as his is worn out to the max. Also, what should I look for if he primarily uses it for wood and some metal drilling: Cobalt? Titanium?

Is DeWalt still the brand to get?
