Holy shit, they used the backhoe to dig a hole and buried the packer. Some ex-employee? How sophisticated are those keys?

what is packer
The keys are generic. One key often stars all equipment of the same brand. Newer units have electric code entry with GPS on them that are near impossible to break into.
I can eat more hot wings than you.

Old case bobcats will start with any Pontiac/Chevy ignition key, the square one lol.
Master keys are easily obtainable. Hell, even I've got one for Cats, for emerency apocalypse reasons only of course.Originally posted by lilmira

what in the world has made so many people so entitled they they feel ok to do this.
You better know that the entire former employee list will be asked for allibi's etc.

Probably not so much entitled, as just plain batshit crazy.Originally posted by killramos

No i bet you that this, likely former employee, felt he was justified in everything he did.
That's entitlement, not saying you don't need to have a factor of crazy in you to do such a thing, but definitely an entitled fuck who thinks hes getting his just desserts from what he did.
Hope he ends up looking at the inside of a concrete box over it.

That's a horrible, childish thing to do... but damned if it's not impressive.
Not hard to short list but impossible to prove. Just side effect of the economy downturn.
Not as good as the time two guys were caught "sword fighting" with two 200-size excavators in Edmonton.
That's a lot of work to get 'revenge' on someone. Some people

insurance scheme
Yep, in tough economic times I always see a huge spike in heavy equipment coming through insurance. Saw two 2014 Tri Drive coil tubing units last week burned to the ground. Story was one caught fire due to a faulty block heater and the other was a victim cause it was parked beside it. Rumor also has it those trucks were ordered in late 2013 (during good times) and were completed and delivered January 15, story is they've only been out on jobs a handfull of times. At about 1.2 mm a piece it would be tough to see those units sitting in the yard.Originally posted by rob the knob

This stuff happens every downturn. And you bet your ass the insurance company's investigate these claims.
