Default The All-New Alfa Romeo 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio

The first car introduced at the LA Auto Show this year was the 2017 Giulia by Alfa Romeo and that made the rest of the show rather boring as this was easily the best car of the show in my opinion. The Quadrifoglio version, powered by a Ferrari-built 2.9L twin-turbo V6 that sends 505 horsepower and over 440 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, was the main star and is what Alfa Romeo will be depending on as it makes its long awaited return to North America. There is extensive lightweighting on the Giulia Quadrifoglio with the carbon fiber hood, roof, active front splitter and driveshaft. This results in one of the best power to weight ratios for mid sized sedans and a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Now, all of this will come at a price and as we have just learned, it will be somewhere around of $70,000 USD.

Is Alfa expanding dealership network into Calgary any time soon?

I hope so. I'm really liking this car, even if it has a Ferrari engine. I've been an Alfa fan since way back in the old school touring car days.

This car looks and sounds(spec wise) amazing. Did you guys get to sit in the car? How is it space wise? M3 or M5 sized? I'm definitely interested in this car now.

Based on wheelbase, is should be in the same class as 3/A4/C. All around 111"

Showrooms are the worst place to gauge size, but it looked and felt slightly smaller than a current 3-series/C-class. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody told me it ended up being bigger though. Everything looks and feels different at these shows.

    Looks beautiful.

I always had a soft spot for Alfa because of the crazy 155 4 DTM. They have a great history and it's nice to see them make a return to form.

that looks amazing. Looks like pricing is right in line with the C63/M3 as well... Would be a tough decision not to pick this car out of the three.

I've asked this question to dealers in Houston and even they can't answer it - when is it for sale? I need a 4 door sedan, in the US and I would like this to be on the list.

Any news at the show on release dates?

edit: answered in article, but same as dealers. No firm date

Dealers are the last to know. Automobile thinks mid-2016.

That's a best case scenario. Most likely in Sept 2016 along with other MY2017 cars.

I need one so badly. The two toned and green stitching interior is wicked. I can't even.

Snapped these last month with my phone.

Beautiful car all around. Especially the rear end. In terms of size I would say it's slightly shorter than the current 3 series.

70k is for the Quadrifoglio, which is already the top trim. Options are limited on it so, leaving carbon ceramic brakes out of this, you're not gonna see much increase for a fully loaded car IMO.
