Bed Liner yes. Tonneau cover yes.
But an hour on a dirt road and everything inside was caked.
I was thinking tailgate seal might dramatically reduce the sand?

Yeah, they help, I don't know what brand or style is best. None are perfect and that fine silty crap from the trunk road is nasty.

Tailgate seals help a little but still not that great; especially if it is really dry and dusty on the dirt road. I think mine is extang. I don't really know if it does much.
Looking to buy a AT4 with a 6.2 and 10 speed. What's the best dealers in YYC? Tried CMP already, they play the usual dealership games. I know what I want, just give me the best price, they want me to come in and waste a bunch of time before giving the sale price.
Recommendations? Thanks...
Probably get better service from Airdrie, Strathmore, Okotoks etc. I hear rumors you can get major deals at the real small places over an hours drive from the city, but I don't know how real that is.

Delco21 used to work at CMP and I’m 90% sure he still does, I sent friends to him last year and I bought my GMC from him. If you deal with him directly, I’m pretty sure you won’t get yanked around.
See Crank. See Crank Walk. Walk Crank Walk.
I just bought the same truck from CMP with no BS and got a great deal. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You picked a bad time, 2020’s are starting to show up and the incentives on them aren’t nearly as good.
Your best bet is try to find a 19 and get invoice pricing. They had to transfer me mine from Kamloops to get everything I wanted on a 19 with the incentives.
CMP owns pretty much everyone.
Pull a car cost Canada report( they are free now ), start from there.

At first i hated the looks of the new sierras but now that i see them more and more i really like the lines on them. The denali looks sharp and i seen one with some rs body kit which looked really good too. Truck game is insane now
Tail gate seal for sure helps, had one on my old truck and there was never a dust issue. Went to my wifes uncles farm again this summer and everything in the back was covered in dust because i never got around to getting one yet
Its not an easy process thats for sure. I almost had to drive to edmonton to get my f150 but a friend recommended me his guy in airdrie and it was super easy because i was pretty sure i knew what the best price was and he matched it. I emailed every dealer in calgary and some wanted me to come in first and the others said no way even though i showed them the ad from the edmonton dealer. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Anyone have any experience with the new 6.6L gas engine. I'm getting a 1 ton GMC with it and would like to know if there is anything to watch for. I'm not overly impressed it only has the 6 speed trans, but oh well. Also, how is the ride without a large payload. Going to be the first 1 ton I've driven more than a couple hours.
Thing is a tank, my uncles work truck has it and it just keeps on trucking. Pulls good though, nothing fancy just gets the job done. With the 6 speed she gets a bit screamy when pulling a lid up a real hill but nothing crazy.
He ordered a new one with the new gen months ago, but with the strikes and shutdowns I dunno if it’s even going to show up this year lol. I’d make sure you have an honest convo with your salesman about delivery timeline.

How's the ride? Is it rough with minimal payload? This will be a work truck, so I will have some weight in it all the time, but won't be hauling too much often.
So my uncles is a 3/4, but weight is very apparent next to my 1500. Less bouncy for sure but a lot of that is the trim choice of my truck.
Aside from that ride isn’t bad at all, especially if you are used to HD trucks already. A little airy to the rear without a load but the truck has plenty of weight to make up for it overall.
I actually really like his truck, but my needs involve a daily trip to a downtown parkade which makes an HD a bad time. Mileage on the gasser definitely not great but I dunno with the new gens have any tricks to improve that, nature of the beast with the 6sp with a big gasser.

You thinking of the 6.2?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I’ve driven a few 2500hd with the 6.6L gas. It does not really feel that much different than the older 6.0L gas engine. Both 6.0 and 6.6 have quite a bit of torque and the 4.10 gearing is a nice option too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have a lot of seat time in the previous gen 2500 and the new ones drive very similar but just feel way bigger.
Have you owned a 3/4 or 1 ton before? The gms definitely ride nice. I have a 2016 2500 and it has an extra leaf so it’s set up like a 1 ton and the back end is pretty stiff with no load. It rides a lot nicer with my 2000 lbs truck camper in the box haha.
6.0, my truck has the 6.2 which I can speak to much more informatively. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Changed my OEM brakes a few weekend ago. 2015 Sierra with 130,000kms. Went with the Powerstop Z36 - about as easy a swap as I’ve done.
I currently have a 3/4 ton dodge. Ride is ok, but I just don't like the truck. Nothing major or very specific. Just don't like it. Never had a 1 ton before. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If my uncles HD he ordered with the 6.6 ever shows up I’ll update you lol
