Gotta say I'm VERY impressed with the new Silverado! Offered a new 3.0 inline 6 diesel! 450lbs lighter than the current truck without losing high strength steel in key areas. Lots of good here, this will set the bar on full size trucks.

And gas jobs should see over 30 on the highway

My 2015 has flexfuel. Do you mean standard from 2014+?

That sucks. Actually not that you mention it, I think I read it was a $100 option or something.

My 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 is Flex Fuel compatible (5.3 litre engine) but I've never bought E85 to try it and see how it runs.

My 2014 has the yellow cap.. So what is the main difference on a stock truck.. more power but worse mileage?

Well I picked up a 17 Silverado custo, back in September for a work truck, tried to get a few modifications in before the snow hit.

Here it is straight from dealer, with hockey stick decal down side (removed)

I ended up finding a new center console for it (came with jump seat, swapped that in there and setup my iPad with mag mount for nav.

All in all, it’s a good truck and gets great mileage.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of truck canopies but this one looks like it belongs.

Wow that looks really nice. I really like how GM is finally offering painted bumpers on all trim levels and not just the SLT/LTZ models.

    Thanks guys
@mzdspd I agree, when comparing similar optioned trucks across the board, this was by far the best styling IMO. The HIDS and led headlights aren’t to shabby either lol.

The HIDs were definitely needed.. The 2014-15 Headlights are horrible. They are like dim candles.

Speaking of which, I just swapped in a set of BPS LED headlight bulbs in.. Anyone else make the switch? These are a huge improvement compared to the OEM halogens.

I had HID's before which were definitely brighter than the LEDs but I continually had issues. I would say that these bulbs are about 70-80% as bright as the 35W HID's that I had.

I've been thinking about switching out the halogens for LEDs since I'll be doing a lot more night time driving on secondary highways. Did you pick yours up on amazon?

I did.. I bought the BPS G7 kit with the Canbus adapter. So far they are working great.

I have been playing around with them though. LEDs can have dark spots where they do not illuminate so I have been messing with the orientation in the housing to find the best spot.

it was only the sierra with shitty lights. Silverado halogens were fine.

If you are planning on putting LED or HID in your halogen housings.. don't...
